Otherworldly does not go far enough...

I've had the solid black Melrose's for nearly a year now, and I still get giddy when I wear them. I originally bought them for my Halloween costume last year (Other Mother from Coraline - they added great height and the perfect alien-esque effect to the ensemble), but I have paraded them out and about the city several times since, to much acclaim. While much more comfy than more "traditional" heels I own, they can wear your feet out after several hours (but if you sit down every once in awhile you should be alright). My love for these recently inspired me to buy a pair of black Grand Nationals (I simply had to have their sister boot. clippety-clop!), which I also adore. I love the softness of the leather, and the gold interiors always make me feel just that bit closer to Ziggy Stardust...

droooooooling...a lot!

ok, so i literally JUST got home from purchasing these boots. they are still in their box, in their bag and i can't even look at it. you see, if i do, i might cry, or go into palpitations or just start screaming my face off! I CAN'T BELIEVE I OWN THESE BOOTS!!!! i have never wanted anything so badly in all my life. i definitely did not think they would work for me, but i saw them, and i died. then...i tried them on, and i died some more! they fit perfectly! i'm 5'10-almost 11". and i wear a size 11. that means it's nearly impossible to find sexy women's shoes that fit, but even more impossible to find heels that don't totally kill me. when the sales-dude handed them to me and said 'just don't lean back' i got a bit nervous about standing up, but once i was up, i couldn't get down!!! i didn't think i could possibly fall any more in love with these than i already was, but i did. i never knew that boots could get such a reaction from me, but i was sweating and shaking and most likely having an out-of-body experience because i can't remember anything, even though i was in the store, in the boots, for quite some time! it took a bit for me to make sure i could walk in them, but once you get used to the feel, it's not too difficult (and this is coming from someone who's not used to heels) and they are actually more comfortable than any other properly-fitting heels i own. what more can i say? best $500.00 i've ever spent - on anything! THANK YOU for creating my dream boot!!!! and making it in a size that fits me! i'm in love. *sigh* (i think i'll go try them on again!!! aaaaahhhh!!!)

For my 20th pair of Fluevogs, I needed something really special. I had just found a pair of 2nd hand Grand Nationals, and felt the urge to complete the set with a pair of LA's. They are so comfortable and easy to walk in, I can even wear them as casual everyday shoes without feeling to overdressed. They are a full size smaller than usual, and fit perfectly. Thank you John.

The Ultimate Boot

It is impossible not to feel sexy in these!! I want to prance around in them all day long. If you wear high heels a lot they are a breeze to walk in considering the height. My favorite pair of boots of all time!!

I feel like the Devil herself in these...How I would love to whip you, John, as you polish these for me with your tongue... The leather is very soft making them a perfect play boot. Not for mad dashes on public transport or street fighting; but perfectly lovely for swanning about in a dungeon for a few hours

Ouch

These are beautiful, there is no doubt about that. They are lined in gold, you'll feel like a rockstar wearing them. But they really are not meant for walking or standing for very long. For short periods of time, they're great. But don't wear them to a cocktail party, art opening or someplace where you will be standing. Maybe that is obvious.

I'm wet with these boots...

John has created the most sensual boot ever! When I saw these online it made me weak in the knees..then my heart fell when they didn't come in a SZ12. Then my girlfriend offered to take me to the Chicago store to shop (and buy) my first pair of Fluevogs (they have several styles in SZ12) for my birthday and spend $ on me. I had to try these on anyway in a SZ11 (black/gold boot) to see...just maybe.. and.. to the wonders of the goddess.. they fit, snug but they fit... and then I cried, this time w/ joy. I now have as my first pair of Fluevogs the sexiest boot ever (and the Bondgirl for those sexy butch days). The goddess of all that is shoes, has looked at me and allowed me to be her prophet, for through JF and his creations I shall spread the word & experience of all that is sensual & hot. For she said, stand proud and tall in thine heels.

Stiletto...an attitude.

John, your shoes and boots leave me weak in the knees but these LA's go beyond that. When I wear these boots my whole attitude changes. They bring out the inner Grrrl in me. They are comfortable, sexy and a great conversation starter. Love them, love you.

These shoes are amazing. The leather is very very soft so the flex around the ankle makes it easier to walk in. I noticed these were more comfortable than my grand nationals in terms of walking and standing. The sizing is about the same as Fluevogs usually run, about 1 size smaller. I normally wear a 7 and sized up to an 8 with these.
