worth every ounce of effort for the max hot effect!

So...after eyeballing these sweeties all winter and then seeing them go on a super sale price, well I just had to hurry myself down to try them on. Such a gorgeous price for a superbly unique and beautifully constructed boot. Swooshie Shoes was totally enchanted. As reported, it took A MAJOR GROUP EFFORT to get me into my 9.5. The first time. Once on they were the perfect length and really comfortable. Did I mention absolutely stunning? It took two of us to get them off, though. So they were placed on the stretcher for a couple days, and then I did plastic bags with water and rubbing alcohol, walked them home and wore them a few hours. Worth every second of effort. The leather is giving, and I can now get them on with the simple help of a horn and anticipate it will continue to get easier. If they have them in your size..PURCHASE and PERSEVERE! They freak everyone right out because they are so darn hot!

Tricky to get on, but oh so worth it!

Yes, they're tricky to get on because of how narrow they are at the top. But, once you've got them on, they're amazing. Shockingly comfortable, really stable, and stunning to look at. So stunning in fact that even my husband (who thinks that all of my black shoes are just one pair) commented on them. Try them - you won't regret it!

These booties are incredible! I was told that a lot of people had problems with how narrow the mouth is, but they were just perfect on me! ,-) @>- I'm truly not a fan of patent leather, but the boot is so beautiful that I just fell in love! Thanks John!

Love em'. But I bought them half a size too small. I get them stretched. They are easier to walk in than the portsides! Looking forward to see what John will design for the on course family next season! Can't wait!

beautiful but impossible design

I love the look of these booties - and I am a real bootie lover. Unfortunately I cannot get more than my toes and ball of my foot in the boot! Correction - I did get them on once with ALOT of difficulty, and once on they were super comfortable - also getting them off was no problem. But after that first success - and it was not an easy success, I could not get them on again. The mouth of the boot is soooo narrow it is an impossible design. And I do not have a wide or large foot. I think it is because the patent leather around the back is so stiff that there is just no give at all, and the front flap has no elastic to compensate. Simply a huge design flaw. I will have to return them and would appreciate store credit for my next purchase. I am normally a size 7 or 7.5 in boots in your shoes, and did order the 7.5 as the webstore recommended for this boot. So I will be returning these sweet booties, as I don't think that even ordering up to the size 8 will help.
