Prepare Hi |
John wanted to take the Prepares to new heights. With a 4" curved heel and a 1" platform, The Steady finds a new altitude (and attitude). The Steady slip-on shoe features an oversized front elastic gusset, a bold toe outseam design,
durable waxed suedes, and a rubber treaded sole to keep you steady. The high heeled Steady is a fashionista shoe rich in texture and designed with swooping curves. Steady as she goes!
Jaik from our Vancouver (Granville) store says:
A great shoe. Most ladies have been getting the smaller of the two if they are a half size, as they fit a little bit big.

I had been watching these since they were first a tantalizing sneak peak. I planned to get them in purple, but find myself the happy owner of a 'yellow' (which is more 'European mustard gold') pair which will be a nice contrast all the purple in my wardrobe. I wear a 6.5 in Bellevues, Daily Miracles and my beloved Prepared Scouts, but the 6 in the Steady fits like a GLOVE. As the name suggest, they are steady, easy to wear, ever SO comfortable, and I'm 5'8" in them! Wowza. Most excellent "I was accepted for my Masters" celebratory shoe. They arrived yesterday, I've worn them all day at work today, and they still feel as good as when I put them on. Love 'em (and may need to eventually add the purple, too)! :-) Thanks Preet!

My coworker Cory named these the "Disco Dutch" shoes as soon as he saw these pieces of yellow goodness! I adore the comfortable fit - and these are shockingly comfortable to wear. I get stopped every time I wear them. I'm a true 9.5 and bought a 9. Excellent if you have a high arch, as the elastic vamp creates a custom fit.

Can I marry my shoes? I almost wish I could - I got these because they have such a cool look, but kind of figured they would be too high or uncomfortable. But I HAD to at least get them to try them on. Now, of course, you couldn't pry them away from me! I can't believe how a shoe that looks so cool and like a work of art, is so comfortable! I can't believe the height of this heel I'm walking on as if it's a flat! I got the purple, and hope to get the black - and will want any other shoe that is similar in style!!!! I probably won't drive the car in them, or walk the mall even though you probably could - but can obviously wear them a lot. I wear a size 6-6.5 in regular shoes and 6.5 or 7 in Vogs and folks say these run large so was nervous buying a 6.5 which is all Amazon had left. But it fits perfect. And I have wide feet which have plenty of room - so was definitely Karma. They really fit like a purple suede glove!!! Is it wrong to love my shoes so much? Nah

Really doesn't get any better than these, I got them in yellow & now my feet shout SPRING! Such happy cheery shoes to bring a little dance to every step.

I bought my shoes in Gastown... I love, love, love them. They look great with leggings and dresses up a casual outfit. I walk at a good clip in them so I don't even think they are as high and sexy as they are !!

These shoes are gorgeous; they are even more beautiful and unique in person. They definitely run large; my usual Fluevog size is 8.5; in Guides I got a 9 and in these I got an 8 and they fit great. I got them in black and wish I could swing the yellow and purple. These are the highest heel Vogs I have and I definitely can feel the difference between these and my minis, even with the platform. These are comfortable and cushy enough and don't rub my feet or anything, but they're not a running around shoe. I do feel quite steady in them, though, in spite of the height.

WHOA! Hello mama!
Arrived and ON! Whoa higher than expected but deservingly so!. I chose the yellow ones and they are divine....certainly stand out and with black attire....look amazing! The black elastic over the top hold the foot firmly in place...IMMEDIATE COMFORT! Not the All-Day-Stompers that the Merit and all others in that family are marvellous for....however it is after dark where these puppies will come into their own....hello gents!

Another Prepare Beauty!
These are just amazing! Tried on the yellow at the Seattle store, they are more mustard than sunny. The material is suede, so you should treat them accordingly. Since they are in whole sizes only, you may have to size down (I did, from a true 9.5 in the Guides). The fan style elastic top is just stunning. The purple is a saturated plum, so rich and royal. I suspect most people will buy at least two colors!!! These wll look great with skirts and pants, really versatile.

I bought the size 6 (wear size 6 in other Vogs) yellow Steadys. They were gorgeous on and the mustardy yellow acted like a neutral going with pretty much everything. Even with the platform they are high heeled (compared to the Guides which feel almost flat to walk in) but are stable. The problem I had was that they fit about 1 size large - no amount of stuffing in of inserts, gels, and wearing of thick socks helped with keeping my heel in and foot secure. Very sad I had to return these with no option of sizing down.

Loving my new shoes!
Arrived home from work this evening to find these boxed and beautiful on my doorstep.
Bought the purple - now thinking about the mustard. They're beyond beautiful. I really wish you all were looking at my feet in these shoes (except that'd be weird).
Saw these online yesterday, called the haight store and - BINGO! They're comfortable with sexy curves. They do run big - and St. Denny, He of the Shoe, was absolutely right in steering me to one size smaller.
Thank you to Denny. Thank you to the magical cobblers that make up Familas Fluevog.
