John recently spent some time abroad in Germany, and being a big fan of drawing shoes while listening to public radio, John would frequently listen to Germany's public Radio ARD ( *A*rbeitsgemeinschaft der öffentlich-rechtlichen *R*undfunkanstalten der Bundesrepublik *D*eutschland).
One afternoon while sipping on his Tasse Kaffee, John drew up a kneehigh boot that would fit in any rustic setting, but with a modern silhouette that would be suitable for city wear. Featuring Atlas leathers with a shiny buff on the upturned toe, an inside zipper, a stacked tunite heel and sole with soft rubber soleplates, The Radio ARD broadcasts style and hipness across the World. Tune in, Turn on, and Vog out!
Becky and Catherine from our Washington DC store says:
The boots can be tight in the calf and may not zip completely at first, but they will after some wear.

tight in the calves but a lot of stretch
I couldn't zip these up when they arrived by a good 3 inches. I sent a pic to the seattle customer service and they said they would probably stretch. Sure enough, just a few hours into the day and they are zipped to the top! I would still like them to be a little looser but am sure they will get there. Great customer service!

love these..their basic and beautiful...but sadly have to get them stretched and some elastic inserted..but I did expect that.

great pair of boots
Overall, a great pair of boots....once I got them on. Had to stretch the calves but that is normal for me. The counter around the back of the boot is very high and narrow which makes it hard to actually get the boot on but once I did get my foot in the boot, the toe box is a dream come true. no cramped toes in there.
My only fear is that the counter will eventually break if I don't use a shoe horn, but that is what they make horn's for, right? ]:o)

These boots just arrived today and I LOVE them. Love the mottled green, the comfy sole and the fit. They fit my scrawny chicken-leg calves perfectly - no gaping!! I am happy. Happy happy happy. :-D

Love at first zip!
A tough decision, green, black, brown...but I went with green....the first pair didn't zip all the way, so I tried a second pair and it was love at first zip! Thanks for a comfortable and fun boot!

Yummu, yummt boots
I got a pair of these in green- they definitely require a bit of breaking in- but are beautiful boots- my only slight disappointment is they are quite roomy in the calf, and gape a little at the top. i would say i am of average build. They are beautifully crafted and fun to wear.

It was really tough to choose which colour but I went with black and am very happy with these. I have wide feet, average size calves and they fit nicely. Gonna break them in around the house before they hit the pavement.
