Châtelet
[Green]
The Rules Châtelet sandal was named after Gabrielle Émilie du Châtelet, the french mathematician and physicist in The Age of Enlightenment who studied infrared radiation and the nature of light. Despite a society that prevented women from higher education, Châtelet's intellectual curiosity prevailed, and she became one of the founder's of Newtonian Physics which is still studied today.
The Châtelet sandal features perforated leather in custom Broderie Anglaise patterns, built on a 0.75" platform of recycled cork wrapped in raffia, with a 4" solid wood heel that gives this buckled slingback a tropical, weathered beach vibe. John designed the Châtelet to be a natural heeled sandal for the eco-minded, fashion-forward individuals who like to prove that patriarchy is passé, and who are driven to prove the undiscovered. Saucy!
Just bought these shoes yesterday on a whim. I don't usually wear heels, so they are intense, but are relatively comfortable for what they are. I wouldn't wear them all day or on a long walk, but for a summer day or night somewhere I can be off my feet here or there they are perfect! I bought the dark turquoise and green pair and they are gorgeous and sexy.

too high!
Love the look, but as the previous reviewer says...all the weight is on the ball of your foot. Can't wear them for any length of time without my feet hurting. They would be comfortable and gorgeous if .5 to an inch flatter... ()-)

Love them in purple!
I have a pair of these in a beautiful purple and they fit true to my size 9. They are comfortable and classy albeit a bit high for all day wear but I'm confident they'll get more comfortable the more I wear them. Thanks John!

(:`( I'm so sad these had to go back. They look absolutely awesome on the foot, but there's no heel support, so you're basically walking on your toes. Not ideal for me, since I've worn flat shoes for so long. If I remember correctly, I had to go up a half size in these, but they fit perfect once I tried them on. Too bad! Sniff...
