Laureates | Wordsworth [Moss Green]
GROUPS:   Sale   Boot   Casual   Mens   Unisex   Womens

Behold, this eloquent unisexy boot is certainly one of John’s exquisite masterpieces from this season. A subtle sensory overload of classicism and modernism, the Wordsworth uses the finest veggie tanned leathers with the slightest tweak of the historic brogue design. With an industrial rubber topy cemented onto a leather sole, this boot will give you the quiet confidence to change the world, one step at a time. Whole sizes only.

As a longtime Fluevoger I've worn nothing but Fluevogs for nearly 20 years and have been completely satisfied. I just received my new Laureats (Wordsworth, black) a few weeks ago and they're nice, but absolutely no padding in them at all. This is easily resolved with some 3rd party insoles. The heel seems to have been colored over black and is a little off colored as well. Again this shortfall is easily resolved with some polish. All in all, they're decent shoes, stylish, and hip. But for the price I would expect a little better quality and not have to put forth the extra effort.

Polish?

I love my moss green Wordsworth boots but now that I've had them for a few months, I want to go and polish them up to bring back some of the original subtly in color and I don't quite know how. A neutral polish? An olive cream? I love the distinction between toe and boot and don't want to lose that if someone can help me.

Polish

You definitely want to use a neutral polish on richly-colored leathers. Not only will it preserve the subtle variations in the dye and the way it's worn in, it won't wash out the contrast stitching details. Matter of fact, I use neutral polish on anything that's not black. Even most browns aren't brown-polish brown, and I've ruined a perfectly good pair of loafers (not Vogs, thankfully!) by putting brown polish where it didn't belong. Hope this helps - Matty

So far, so good

Wordsworth boots are like a subtle double entendre. They are both dress-up and dress-down, perfect footwear for situations when utter discretion is necessary.
