Coffee | Tenango [Orange Cairo]
GROUPS:   Formal   Heel   Shoe   Womens

John loves coffee. He also loves JJ Bean Coffee Roasters. So why doesn't he marry them? Well, in a slightly less odd way (imagine the ceremony) that might be kinda sorta happening later this year in celebration of John's 40th Anniversary.

Tenango is a delicious single origin coffee roasted to Fluevogian perfection. It is also a bright tea-strap heel that has floral notes of a lively buttery sweetness. Featuring the 3" leather wrapped Coffee heel and Tunite sole with Cairo imprinted leathers and patent trims, the Tenango is the only way to start your day!

Oh, These Shoes!

I love these shoes. I ordered them on-line after coveting them from afar for several months. I had plans to get my busy self up to SF to try them on in the store, but then I mentioned them to friends and sent them pictures and they were goggle-eyed and egged me on… So I leapt. When the cute shop-girlie called me to verify the size, I waffled on whether to stay with the 8 or to go up. With no half-sizes, I was torn – up a full size for comfort and risk them being loose, or order the true 8 and hope they didn’t pinch in the toe? I have to admit, that wickedly pointy toe-box was a little off-putting. I’ve got issues with my feet after suffering from pseudo-sciatica when I was a dancer, and I really have to watch out for my feet. When the shoes arrived, I was ecstatic but also trepidacious – are they really the right size? What if I wear them and scuff up the soles, and then decide they’re too pinchy after all? So they sat, looking forlorn on my bedroom floor while I got up the nerve to actually take them out for a spin. Eventually I bunched up my nerve and wore them out to dinner. My friend made appropriate “ooh-ahh” noises, and I basked in their glory. And wiggled my big toe. No pain. I smooshed my foot around a little more, daring the sides of the shoe to chafe me on the instep or the ankle. Still no pain. Au contraire, they embraced my feet with a loose yet secure grip, not the needy hug that speaks of blisters to come, but a loose, respectably supportive wrap, like the light, secure touch of a superb dance partner. These I can dance in. These I can forget my fretful feet, be silly and free. And they’re drop-dead sexy to boot – er, to shoe, that is. And the heel has such an elegant curve, like the spout of a pot-bellied coffee pot. Umma nummm. But now, seriously, now I have to re-enroll for the salon tango classes I began a while back but lost interest in for lack of proper footwear. That’s ok. I’ll get to the tango, no problem. I have just GOT to be able to move around in them some more. Did I mention that I love these shoes?

On Layaway

I tried these on in the Fluevog Store on Newbury Street and fell in love with them. I put them on layaway and am paying them off so that I can enjoy the awesomeness that is orange and celadon blue...this will be my 4th pair of vogs...

Drinkin' in the coffee

I got these during the Olympics and get gold medal compliments every time I wear them. They go with fun and with serious outfits - great with navy.

Third time's a charm

This is my third Fluevog pair and I am in L O V E. I have a pair of the tea service heels and now these, the coffee, which makes sense because I'm addicted to caffeine only slightly more than SHOES. I digress - these are stunning. I purchased the orange and am so thrilled. I will be wearing them at an upcoming art show where I will be standing in them ALL DAY LONG. Yes, they are that comfy. And gorgeous. Thank you. Thanks to Kyle in Chicago for selling me all three pairs, he's great too.

hot AND comfy

I fell in love with these yesterday. they are the best combination of wildly sexy, fairly witchy and weirdly comfortable. I will be dancing tango in them every chance I get and wearing them to work as well.
