I was hoping that I could order these and have a cobbler in my backwater town stretch the shaft a bit. Sadly, no. That apparently is a very special technique that is germaine to the Fluevog stores. I just cannot make the pilgrimage at this point. The leather is lovely, as is the style, but I won't be able to slide these over my calves until I drop a few stones. Motivation. I look at them every single day.

My first Fluevog Love

The Heidi is my favorite pair Fluevog boots because they're the first I've ever owned that look great and fit beautifully, even on my skinny calves. My husband and I visited Gastown and went into the store. I didn't even know about Vogs then... but tried them on, pondered on it for the night, and had to go back the next day to get em. Five months and five pairs of fabulous Fluevogs later, these hold a special place for me. They look great, get compliments galore.. also, can't say enough about how helpful the staff is Thanks for the awesome craftsmanship and style John!

Finally bought my Heidi's after eying them for a year. every time I wear them I get comments. my favorite response... "greatest Canadian shoe designer EVER." Fit perfect, and I don't even need to wear my orthopedics in them. I wore them to work tonight. I'm a bartender & work 10hr shifts. My $80 boots kill my feet. I was nervous, I'm hard on my feet. Well I felt like I was walking on sunshine all night long! No sore back, no aching feet! (I could have gone dancing after!) Because of the amazing quality, design, and fit of these boots I can rock anything!I look great in ANY outfit... jeans (skinny or boot) skirts, dresses, all of the above as long as I wear my Heidi's. I'm 38 & feel I'm the coolest kid on the block when I'm in my Heidi's! Please do yourself the favor-buy these boots. Your feet will love you for this.

INCREDIBLE

Buying boots is a huge decision, I could not be happier with buying these ones. Such an amazing value for the amount I spent on them, they will be my everyday/everywhere boots for the rest of my life! The gastown employees were super helpful and stretched the calf area out for me so they fit my foot/leg absolutely perfectly! Careful if you are ordering online, I am a 7.5 in all Fluevogs except for these, I needed a size 6 because they are a larger fit. John Fluevog, you are the man.

Vogs for life!

My very high maintenance partner convinced me that I spend to much money nickeling-and-diming buying way to many shoes that barely last a year and to buy an expensive quality pair that will last for 5 years+. That's when we walked to Gastown. When I saw these boots I totally fell in lust!!! I had them stretched 3 times because of my thick calves(that's what you get when you run and walk everywhere hehe). But now my Vogs have a few hundred kms behind them...these boots were made for walking! Walking down to Granville to buy Drew's tomorrow!

These boots get the honour of being my first Fluevogs ever. My one-and-onlys got lonely, and I had to bring home a companion 5 days later. These are pretty much the best boots that can or will exist! They make me smile everytime I see them in my closet.

Powerful boots

These boots have superhero powers. I bought them (in brown) two years ago and have worn them in many battles to defend humanity and in countless acts of derring-do. And they look better than ever. People don't mess with me when I wear my boots. They admiringly give me a wide berth, they respect me, they want to be me.

LOVE THEM!!!!

I fell in love with these boots at the Fluevog store in NYC over six months ago. I forced myself to walk out without them since they weren't in my budget. For months I kept looking at them online... My last two pairs of Fluevogs have lasted over a decade with regular use, (I actually cried when the soles fell off my Fluevog motorcycle boots last winter after wearing them ALL the TIME for almost 12 years. I still miss them!) Anyway... in the back of my mind I knew they were a safe investment and I finally caved when I read the comment on this page that said, "They would make a great gift to yourself. You're worth it." She was right. They are the best gift I've given myself in a long time and I feel like a million bucks every time I slide them on. **BTW... they were only difficult to get on and off for a day or two. If you love them... buy them. You won't regret it.
