Executors: Opus Hotels: Porter Shoe
[Black & Pink]
John is pleased to present this very exciting new collaboration with Opus Hotels. After John F and John E had tirelessly mixed children's paints until the perfect, pleasing OPUS/Fluevog/Porteresque shoe hue appeared, The Porter Shoe was designed and created exclusively for the hotel properties. Embodying design, style and originality, the OPUS Hotels Porter Shoe is made in Portugal with Italian Aniline Leathers and branded with OPUS Hotels inside. Featuring black and dark pink leather, the two-tone color scheme matches OPUS Hotels' strong colour (and color) decor.
OPUS Hotels, with luxury boutique properties in both Vancouver and Montréal, has a reputation for personality, flair, & individuality. Always being on the cutting edge of cool and deliciousness, both John Fluevog and OPUS Hotels found themselves on common ground.

I have dozens of fluevogs and have turned many friends on the them.(sometimes, I think that I should receive a commission) I think this is the most beautiful pair that I have. They were a birthday gift. I LOVE them!!! :-D

Got these for my husband
DH was sceptical about these until we saw pictures online of the porters at the Opus Hotel actually wearing them. We love the style and the dark flash of pink. He wore them recently and they were very comfortable and stylish, he got lots of compliments.

At first, I wasn't sure I could pull off the pink, but took a chance, and am so glad I did. Like other people posting, I regularly have strangers on the street stop and tell me how beautiful these shoes are (this happens with all of my Fluevogs, but especially these ones - I bet I've had 30+ people comment on them). They work well for both formal and casual, fit very comfortably, and of course come with great service at the store location.

Truly a thing of great beauty and from such a cool hotel too (well, the Vancouver branch where I've been lucky enough to stay a few times is). Only problem is, how do I manage to find myself back in Canada some time soon...?!

I'll take them
They aren't quite what I've emailed lille Fluevogerne about before (Pink! And Black! Saddle Shoes! For Men!), but these will do. And, indeed, I do have a pair of Theos - pink, clear plastic frames - that will work with them. Doesn't everyone? no?! Then they look for something less adventurous, something more for the young and callow. |-(

I wasn't planning on getting these, but when I found out that they were made for my favorite hotel ever (Opus), I had to have them. They have the same super comfortable fit of the Executor family, but with an added bonus... traction! A thin rubber tread has been added to the sole eliminating the slippy aspect of new shoe soles. Now I can worry about other things like "How can I stay in this hotel forever?" and "What is in the butter-y topping on my popcorn?".
