LIQUIDATION | Rules: Galileo [Brun Dallas & Indigo]
GROUPES:   Vente   Botte   Femmes   Sandale   Talon

Natural Beauty Rules. (La beauté naturelle règne.)

These were one of my few 'Vog purchases that I didn't keep. Lovely to look at and comfy on the foot but I couldn't walk in them to save my life. Having the base of the heel so far forward under my foot made me really unstable - I felt like I was constantly in danger of tipping backward. Broke my heart to eBay them, but it was a choice between my heart and my neck, and my broken heart was easier to fix.

Slightly wonky heel

First off, I must say that I was not disappointed asthetically when I opened the box and saw these gorgeous sandals. They look even better in person. The purple is GORGEOUS and contrasts beautifully with the brown. However, I now understand why the person in an earlier comment said that the heel folds under when she walks. The same thing happens to me. In fact, I know I will have to adjust my stride when wearing them, which kind of sucks. Also, I too have to take them to a cobbler to punch additional holes for more adjustment options. In addition, the pair I got has a slight rip in the strap, which made me unhappy, but I don't want to pay extra to ship them back to get a replacement. I'm glad I got them on sale, because with all the extra tinkering these shoes require, both physically and cost-wise, I would have certainly returned them had I paid full price. Don't get me wrong, I love all of my pairs of Fluevogs, but I'm starting to think that sticking with their flat boot models is the way to go. Hope you fluevoggers find this feedback helpful!

Love Them!

I was a little worried about the heel height but I shouldn't have been. They are SO comfortable. They run a little big but the straps can adjust for that. I'll probably put a pad in the ball-of-the-foot area to snug it up a little more.

Absolutely Fabulous

Today, i received my first pair of Fluevogs ever.... ]:o) !!! I've never even tried a pair on but saw these and knew they must be mine... soooo I read quite a bit, regarding sizing etc, read the posters comments (BIG thanks to you all!!) and ordered an 8 vog on Monday. Today is Thursday and I have my shoes already!!!and ....they are simply fabulous! Like others have commented this vog is definately about a half size larger and (ordered an 8 instead of my normal 8.5) ... the brown strap definately needs more holes to secure the shoe better.. I am taking my shoes to a cobbler shortly to have that remedied! Thank you Montreal store for getting my order in asap! I ordered a pair of Goodalls in Dallas Gray that were only available in the states in my size.. (luckily my parents are in FLA), but the Boston store hasn't even processed my order yet.. Go Canada!!! Love my vogs.... you've got a new fan and loyal customer in me... :-D

fantastic fit, comfort

ordered these and love them. They are quite loose around the ankle, but I could put another notch in the strap if I need to. I ordered a size 8.5 (my usual size) and they fit great-perhaps a wee bit on the large side, but still very comfortable and I could wear them all day. Beautifully made and so pretty!

Like Nothing Else!

I saw these in Montreal when I was visiting recently, and although I had just bought a pair of fabulous boots (that's another review) I just had to try these on. I am usually a 9 but they were big; the 8's small ,and the store had nothing in-between. I sadly went home to my little non-Fluevog city and kept thinking about these awesome shoes. I watched the inventory going down and down on the website, and I asked myself, how would I feel if I missed these beauties? I broke down after about a week ordered them online in size 8.5. They arrived and fit like a dream! They hug the foot and because the heels are cork, when I walk, it feels like I'm walking on air. They go with everything from skinny jeans to long skirts. The heel is the tallest of all my Vogs and as I tower over everyone I think how clean the air is up here. . . All of my Fluevogs hold a special place, and these are no exception. I looked on the site today and the 8.5 are sold out. I thank the Fluevog Gods that I had the sense to get these while I could!

Disappointed

I purchased these beauties at the Portland, OR store, during the everything 15% off Fluevog celebration. I paid about $287 for them. Typically I wear an 11 in Fluevog but sized down to a 10.5 in these. I wore them out one day and the heel kept folding under the shoe just enough to make them very unstable and trip me up multiple times. I returned them within a few weeks, citing the issue and was told they would be sent out to a cobbler to check for defects. I asked if the sales rep would watch me walk in them, and see the problem I was having - negative. A few weeks they had still not sent them out - as they were forgotten in the back room. A day later, I was told it was the way I walked, not the shoe, at fault and nothing could be done. Again, no one examined how it is I walk in these. I was offered 20% off a new pair, but lost nearly $300 on this pair that I will never ever be able to wear. I am seriously frustrated. Fluevog staff told me to ebay them. I was a die hard Fluevog fan, having multiple pairs in the closet and heels taller than these which I have had no problem with. The only time I had a problem with 4" + heels was a pair with rubber heels I had worn for several years - the material had been compromised over years of wear, the heel folding in like they did on these new pair. Again, seriously frustrated and debating whether to ever step foot in a Fluevog store again. (:-& (:-&

Thanks for the comments Angela. We have been in touch since and have reconciled the issues with your shoes.

I've tried these shoes on a few times and the more I look at them, the more I fall in love. In fact, just seeing them makes my feet ache to be wearing them. I'm pretty tall already but these shoes are exceptionally comfortable given their height and I can't wait until I've saved enough pennies to buy them!! As for size, I also was able to wear my true size with them. I'm an 11 so I am lucky they fit!! I highly recommend them to anyone, at least to try on. They're gorgeous and I can't wait til they're mine so I can show them off to the world!

Total love

What can I say. I love these babies. Stand tall and look very statuesque without sacrificing comfort. The large wraparound leather portion of the shoe covers my wide feet (and other embarassing foot problems) without any constriction so that's a def plus. The ankle strap only has one hole so that's not adjustable. I'm thinking of punching a few more holes with an awl for more options (snug fit, loose fit etc) Overall a winner. Fits true to size (I'm typically a 8 with Vogs but these the 7.5 fit just fine)

In Love!!

I got these sandals last Saturday and wore them for the first time today. At first I didn't select them to try them own but the more I looked at them; the more I was attracted to them. I got a half size smaller than my usual size. Got lots of complements about them today and I have to say; they are so comfortable!
