LOVED these boots

These boots are the best. Super comfortable for standing and walking all day, and all in great style. I walked a little taller in these boots. All this is in the past tense because last week I left them in a taxi cab in New York. :-O I was so bummed. I am hoping my local Fluevog store can help me locate a pair (out in my size online), so I have contacted them directly. But I am reviewing to say, if these boots appeal to you, buy them! You will not regret the purchase. And don't let them out of your sight.

Hot!

When I tried these on (in the natural) at the store, one of the other customers said that I simply HAD to buy them because they looked amazing -- and he was right! These shoes are also more comfortable than you'd expect given the height of the heel, but it's because of the slight platform. As for sizing, I fit in the size 5 but opted for the size 6; because the leather is so heavy, I didn't think it would soften very much, and I wanted to make sure I could wear these with socks and sock tights. They're perfect with jeans and skirts. So glad they went on sale! ;-)

oh my Calamitys!

Let me count the ways I love, love, love these boots. The first day there was a little rubbing on my little toe as the boots do run narrow but now having broken them in, they are a dream. It's been a broke & unemployed year for me and these were a Christmas present from my lovely mother which have lifted my spirits in so many ways. They make me feel so confident and sassy every day that I wear them. Thanks Mum!

Wore the Frontier High Calamity boots right out of the Soho store last Saturday while visiting NYC. We then walked 6+ miles and spent the night drinking tequila until 4AM. These boots served me well, keeping me upright & (semi) stable as we staggered back to the hotel room. I work for a footwear manufacturer and I'll just say that these have certainly been noticed on the job. Most of the compliments I've received are from guys: I think it is the combination of cute design with a l "kick-ass" heft. With skinny jeans or a skirt, these boots make me feel comfortable, pretty & lethal!

Great feel

My first Fluevogs and I got them at the flag store! Bought these in the natural colour. I love these boots, look so cool with my Lucky Jeans. This 50 something woman can now shop in style for hours! :-D

These boots make me feel like a goddess - I walk taller (cooler) and feel simply fabulous in these boots. Like my other (two) Fluevogs -everywhere I go, people notice my shoes. So great 'cause as I get older, they won't be noticing an extra laugh line or two!

I bought these when I was in Vancouver and took the plane back to Montreal with them, since then I've been very faithful to these shoes. I walk a whole lot during a day, and my feet just don't ever get tired or sore! Thank you again so much for the wonderful shoes! B-)

Magikal boots!

John, thank you, thank you, thank you! I imagine that God, and all the Angels above conspired to have you design these delicious boots, so that one day I might find the perfect boots to adorn my feet... My boyfriend surprised me with these for my Birthday. He rocks! (obviously!) My second most recent Fluevog indulgence - the new Rahab, had to be counterbalanced by a truly rugged, dependable, yet sexy boot --but, oh my, what a boot! These boots have the coolest heel ever, a darling toe cap swirl a la vog, but that's not all, wait till you slip your feet into the decadent innards of this new feeticle (that's a foot-vehicle in case you were wondering!) No wonder the sole of the boot says, "Ditch your car..."! At first, I thought uh-oh, these are a little tight, but within one afternoon of peddling around on my bike (see I listened, and ditched my car!), and doing some stomping around my delightful beach town, and my feet are singing praises... I drooled over these as soon as they appeared online, but after trying them at the Melrose shop, I knew they had to be mine. Then my wonderful rockin' man surprised me with them on my Birthday...!

I bought these shoes as soon as they came out and wear them almost every day. The heel wears out quickly as it is soft and comfy, but after taking them back to the store for a repair, the new heel is much more durable and the people at the store couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. And the green wears beautifully, the more I wear them, the better they look!
