Truths: Melanie
[Brown]
The Melanie is named after one of our favourite Fluevogers, who has the warmest smile and can do attitude. A slouchy, pointy toed, gothy,
rock'n'roll kneehigh, slip-on boot with old silver hardware, chained harness, soft, buttery leathers on a rubber sole plate and a 1.25"
leather wrapped plastic heel, The Melanie boot is for those who can accomplish anything they can dream of. Truth and integrity since 1970.

Beautiful Boots!
I received these just yesterday and think they are even more beautiful in person. I watched these for almost 1 year - was going to get black ones, but they sold out so I opted for the brown - and I must say, I am glad I did. They are very soft and comfy. I just love them and cannot wait to pair them with my fall/winter wardrobe. Thanks Fluevog for another beautiful product!

perfection with attitude
amazing, simply love the Truth family and these are stunners!! fit like a dream, all day standing comfort, soft, supple leathers. Completely classy with their slouchy fit and the way they hug the top of the knee.

I think these boots are so comfortable and unique. I feel like a million dollars when i strut around in them. They are worth every penny. I am now a John Fluevog groupie. ,-)

Gorgeous but do they last?
I bought the Melanie Boots on a shopping trip in Portland (along with a pair of Munsters). They caught my eye on the website and I lucked into finding the Fluevog shop while there. They fit well and the leather is butter soft - BUT - I have only worn them gently (in dry conditions) three times and already one of the studs (by chain) has fallen off and a piece of the material covering the plastic heal (to make it look like wood)has pealed off. I own 4 other pairs of Fluevogs which I love and they have all held up well. Construction in the detail of the boots I bought is not up to the usual quality standard. Now off to find a brown marker to colour in the heal. Any suggestions as to how to glue the stud back on is appreciated.

A great pick-me-up!
I LOOOOOOOVE this boots! I was feeling fat & disgusting from being 7 months pregnant, when I strolled into the new location in Calgary. I spotted her and it was love at first sight! I lusted after her for a week before I pulled the trigger on the brown ones.
I was totally discouraged when I tried to pull them over my jeans at the store, as I could not get them past my calves. I got home, put on a pair of shorts and pulled them over my bare legs and PRESTO! No problems pulling them over my knees. Whoopee! Just what I needed to feel hot again!
I ended up wearing them to a Stampede function that evening and they added a perfect touch of cowgirl to my outfit. I couldn't stop staring at my feet ALL NIGHT.
As for comfort, A+ as always!
Even though my baby won't have food & diapers for the first few weeks, these were totally worth it!
