An iconic Fluevog line from the 1980s, popularized by its distinctive pointed toe shape, The Swordfish has been reimagined by John for rockstars everywhere. Inspired by a Swordfish sole request from Alice, this extremely dangerous shoe arrives in rich black or dusty grey leathers, and features a half zipper detailing design. (No marine wildlife were harmed in the creation of this shoe.) Stay Sharp!

The super soft leather is great for average & wider fit.

YUMMY SWORDFISH - close encounter
So my co-worker (PB) comes in with a really cool funky pair of shoes...its the SWORDFISH COOPER ...I immediately appologize to him and tell him I will be getting a pair as well. Two weeks later...I'm in the gastown store trying on a size eight...too tight, but the nine was perfect. As I am sitting there admiring the shoes in the uber cool, shop I read a message on the glass railing above me...something to the effect "this is where fluevogs are conceived and born" I ask the ultra hip service consultant "Andrea" and she says, yes that is where they design the shoes...I say they? She says, yes John's up there now...I can't pass up this opportunity, so I look at the shoes and try to figure out where I can get John to sign them...I eventually decide on the box and ask Andrea if John (I hope I'm not being too familiar...perhaps Mr. John is more appropriate) would be willing to sign the box. Without skipping a beat, Andrea takes the box and says she will check...I then suggest, perhaps a pic as well? A few minutes later, after Mr. John concludes his design meeting, he comes downstairs with my shoes, the box is signed with a great inscription as well and he spends a few moments to pose with me for a couple of pics.
This is my first ever pair of FLUEVOGS, but it will definitely NOT be my last. Great service and a great creator.
THANKS FOR THE COOLEST shoes in my collection!

At Long Last
Unlike the bloke from Oz, my 1988 swordfishs no longer fit (tooo small). :-( However now, I have a new pair. I love these. I knew they ran small but I'm a women's 7 and I fit 95% comfortably in these Men's 7. I am so thrilled there are actually no words for it.

old is new...
I own a pair of original Swordfish shoes I bought in 1989 to wear to a wedding. They are among the most spectacular footwear I have even owned and are JUST NOW wearing out. Now I know I can replace them...
