Style + durability = perfect

A friend who spends every day on her feet bought a pair of these in black and sang their praises to the heavens; once I saw them, I knew I had to have them, but it took a year before I took the plunge. Once I did, I had not a moment's regret. They're gorgeous, easy to wear, nicely durable for most circumstances, and way more comfortable than most so-called "rugged" fashion boots. They're a perfect women's 8 on me; the only even minor complaint is that the ankles were very stiff at first and gave me blisters, but a little moleskin and some break-in took care of that. I will love these to pieces, probably literally.

Great style, mucho fashion for the price, and the craftsmanship is amazing. Highly recommended! One of my absolute fave styles of the many pairs I have purchased over the past 17 years!

i get home and am sad to take them off!

I love these boots so much. I got rubber soles put on them for rain and a little bit of snow. My shoe guy was so excited to work with such quality. I am on my feet most of the day and when i walk home at the end of the day i am sad that i will have to remove my shoes upon entering the house : ( they get more comfortable as the day goes on!

These boots are my 7th pair of Fluevogs, and my favorite thus far!!! The true test was my 7 day trip back home to the mid-west. These boots were the only pair of shoes I had for the trip (I wanted to put them to task). I put many many miles on these babies, and my feet were in heaven. Plus they were dead sexy when they needed to be, and just damn sensible boots for all other occasions.

I bought these boots about two months ago, and wanted to write a review when I had experienced the boots. You can walk around all day in these boots, be on a train, lug your things around, and all while looking stylish and in comfort. The leather is supple, and once you wear them a number of times they are easy to pull off and on. My complaints are only that of nit picking... for an example, I spent a good deal of dough on these shoes, and so I should not have extra (unused) stitching holes, nor signs of the leather being tooled (like on the strap). The tongue, on both shoes have a tendency to drift. On the left foot I tied it tighter and stopped the drift, on the right foot that doesn't work, I just adjust it from time to time because it likes to drift, so I don't argue. Over all, for style, for beauty, comfort, I love these boots! I plan on buying a friend a pair of these.

Boots to Live In

Thanks to Alan in the NY store who responded to my request for info when I was trying to purchase boots online (DO use that feature), I changed my order from something that would not have worked to these. I have wide feet and big calves. The adjustability of this style works great. The leather is softening and conforming nicely. I was going to have the toe box stretched a bit, but I couldn't take them off long enough to do it, and now it's not necessary. I can walk all day in them, feeling strong & stylish. I find myself planning my wardrobe around them. These are lifetime boots.

The Boots of My Dreams

The minute I saw these boots online in black I had to have them, and they absolutely did not disappoint in person; well-made and so comfortable that I wore them and walked for several hours the first time with no issues. I'm a 7.5 and as advised, the 7 fit perfectly.

worth the wait!!!!!

oh lord!!!! i searched for months for the perfect boot. i was not settling for anything less than perfect either. after walking into the vancouver, granville street store and spotting these babies, i knew my search was over. they fit my requirements of being unique, 'hot' and comfortable... tell me where else you're ever going to find that! i wore them out of the store that day, walked all over town in them and my feet were happy! i've since worn them to a concert, walking all over town again & dancing and my feet feel great. i love catching sight of them as i walk past a window or mirror and thinking those are some 'nasty' boots! they fit my look and personality perfectly! thank you, thank you, thank you! oh, i should add that the sales staff were so beyond helpful and the service i received was unsurpassed!

Have Mercy!

I have never had a pair of boots that I have loved more than these, not even my other Fluevogs! They are indescribably, perfectly comfortable and feel as though they were hand-made for me. I would also like to mention that Anton is one the most personable and well-spoken store employee I have ever met! Please don't ever stop making these as I want to be wearing them when I'm old and decrepit so everyone else in the nursing home will know that i once kicked ass!
