Bellevues: Mattie Silks
In 1881, Denver rival Madames Mattie Silks and Katie Fulton settled a jealous dispute by taking up pistols against each other in a duel over bruiser and gambler Cortez Thomson (who ironically (or deliberately), was the only person injured in the duel). Mattie went on to become the most successful and influential businesswomen that Denver has ever known. She kept steady "business" for 42 years until she ran off with a railroad tycoon, only to return a decade later to resume "business" for another 20 years. Using a soft Italian black leather with two double-buckled straps on a 2.5" Fellowship-hi heel and tunite Bellevue sole, this zipped knee-high boot is sure keep "business" opportunities coming back for more. Keep pushing west and beyond your imagination.

Wish these had worked out....
1 So wish these lovely boots would haveworked. l bought I bought them in March because I needed cute black boots for work. I thought the low heel would lend itself to much less painful fashion, but I was wrong. Sadly, No amount of breaking them in fur 6 months has made them bearable. I have narrow feet, so that wasn't an issue... it was just the over whelming tightness over the ball of my foot and the complete lack of padding on such a hard sole:(
The length in a 10.5 (my typical Fluevog size) felt right.
Sadly, these will be making it to the Fluemarket Soon,..

Bought these boots to celebrate my birthday. I don't know of too many shoes today that are totally leather lined or for that matter are made of real soft leather. Whenever I am looking for special unique shoes I go to fluevog. These are my fifth pair and counting. People also stop me to comment on my shoes. I usually wear a nine but the 91/2 fits better. @>-

Another skinny calved, size 11 narrow Goddess saying, "I can't believe I finally found a stunning pair of black leather boots that fit me!" After 2 years of salivating over these boots, they are finally mine and it is a transcendental experience when I slip them on. One of the best things about fluevogs is they are as comfy as they are chic and these seem to be living up to that. The 10 1/2 fit me like a glove but I went for the 11 for better toe room and they are slightly loose from heel to mid-calf but snug up top. I can chase down bad guys, run the office effortlessly, or keep my lover trembling through the night, all in these boots!

These boots are insanely hot. I hadn't seen them before, but I went to the NEW Fluevog store in Minneapolis (YAY!) on opening day with the ok from my husband to get some "new shoes" for my birthday (double YAY!). One of the helpful girls at the store brought these to me and I couldn't believe how gorgeous they are on. Beautiful, high quality leather. Really slim fit on the calves, very sexy, and the shape of the heel and foot make my big old size 10 flippers appear girly and petite!! Another Fluevog love to add to my collection!

These are simply beautiful, totally elegant and made for skinny legs. So good to have boots that don't sag! Unless you have "racehorse legs", don't buy these. My only reservation about them is that they lack the legendary Fluevog soft comfort. Unlike most of my other Fluevogs which are like walking on clouds, they're quite hard on the feet. I was also a tad surprised for the price that the heel isn't leather-wrapped but plastic! All in all though, they're a winner.

Finally a SKINNY BOOT!
I have skinny legs. To give you an idea - boots that usually bit people with skinny legs are still too wide on me, haha... These are wonderful! I had to tighten up the buckle a bit to make it work on me, but they actually hug my leg! I don't think I'll be able to wear skinny jeans with these - that's how tight they are! I've NEVER had that before!! Oh, joy! The leather is wonderfully soft! Very good craftsmanship! I got the grey pair - beautiful.

I have had these shoes for about a month, and they are beautiful and comfy, too, even for this woman who doesn't often wear heels. Like everyone else said, the legs are narrow, I have pretty slim calves and they hug me tight, but in a good.

Hello, my Darlings...
After coveting these gorgeous boots for nearly 2 years, I finally caved, and boy, was it worth it. As a lady with wide, wide feet and, erm, "shapely" calves, I did have some problems with the the fit, but after a day and a half on the stretching machine at the Gastown store (and an extra hole for the buckle at the top, these babies slipped right on with a minimum of grunting and tugging. The beauty of these boots (apart from the gorgeous style, breathtaking colour and soft, pliable leather) is that the ankle is nice and slim, so it really shows off the shape of the leg once you get them pulled on. I also have the Pearl Harts from this family and found that they softened up wonderfully after a few wears, so I look forward to the same happening with my new babies.

I love the look of the boot but the calves fit very tight. I don't think these can be stretch with the buckle on the side. Pretty to look at but if you have any meat on your calves they won't fit confortably. :(

Mattie Silks are a dream come true!
These beauties are so amazing! They fit like a dream.. having skinny calves.. its hard to find boots that fit. The Mattie Silks are the boots to buy. So comfortable and the height is wonderful! Thanks John for making these boots!
