At the age of 14, Jennie "Little Britches" Midkiff was a wanted outlaw for peddling whiskey and stealing horses. Together with fellow teenager Cattle Annie, also hailing from Indian Nation, OK, Midkiff joined the infamous Doolin-Dalton gang by dressing and riding horses disguised as men, each armed with heavy .45s at their belt. By the time Midkiff was finally arrested, she had been married twice, and had eluded authorities enough times that she was escorted by US Marshals to Framingham Reformatory in Massachusetts. After her release two years later, it is unknown what happened to Midkiff, but it is thought that she later joined the roaming Wild West Show as a horse riding/gun shooting performer.
Using smooth Bottero leathers on a simple equestrian riding boot, The Midkiff reveals to be a clever and mischevious kneehigh boot. Built on a 2.5" Fellowship-Hi heel and a tunite Bellevue sole, The Midkiff assures you will always enjoy getting into trouble. Keep pushing west and beyond your imagination.

Great fit! Calf works for most people, and it is easy to stretch for wider calfs.

Love 'em a lot
Oh my, where to begin! I love these boots. They smell deliciously good, as quality leather should smell. I wear my boots mostly with tights/hose and the width is perfect. If I wear these with soaks then they feel a little tight and therefore I will say these run a little, just a little narrow. I am usually a 9.5/10 in other brands. I got these in 9.5 and my bigger foot (as my feet vary from each other about a half size) still has plenty of room at the end, so my conclusion is that they run true to size but slightly on the bigger side. If you are in between sizes, like I am, I would recommend sizing down. The slender heel has a very feminine look, but it feels very stable due to the tapered bottom. Love the toe box, love the zipper (runs smoothly), love the heel, love the quality leather and just plain love these boots. I'm considering buying a back up pair, for when these wear down; yeah I love them that much. For those concerned about calf size, they are narrow, but I believe they can be stretched.

As a tall woman who likes comfortable footwear, I haven't worn heels in decades. And then I met Fluevogs! I've been hunting for classic tall leather boots for a long time. The Midkiffs are perfect - beautiful, simple lines with a comfortable heel. Too tight in the calves for me, but a local cobbler is solving that. Thanks, Fluevog! And thanks to the folks at the Calgary store for their advice and willingness to send measurements.

Love Love Love!!!
I have been searching for the perfect boot for years finally can stop because these are PERFECT! Beautiful shape, go with every outfit, comfortable, with the perfect heel. Not too high, not too chunky, just wide enough at the bottom to stay out of those pesky side walk cracks. I can stand in these all day, walk miles of city blocks without a single ache or blister. Importantly as someone on the petite side at 5' 2" these hit at just the right point in my calf to look "right." I'm considering buying a second pair as a "backup" --they really are that fabulous!!

Fluevog boots are angels to my wardrobe and devils to my wallet! These are my second pair of Fluevog boots, and I bought both in a size 10, which fit great. They are a little tight in the calf, but have already begun to stretch out. They have a divine shape from the top to the awesome heel, and I have no doubt they will become a staple of my wardrobe! Thanks so much to the nice guy at the Los Angelos store who answered my fit questions when I called!
