Kirsten is a lovely stiff leather boot, but please order the next size up, they run narrow and small!

Simple & Classic
I bought these boots in both colors, and they're awesome. They're simple if you want a solid black low-cut boot. The pointed toes are perfect and add character.
The fit is spot on (I'm usually a 9.5-10 in Fluevogs, so I got it in size 10), and it doesn't take much effort to break in this boot. I wear nylon socks with these boots, and I've never had a problem or discomfort with them. I suggest that you don't wear these boots with regular thick socks because that won't fit well, and you might end up with some blisters because it's too tight.
As for the front bottom outer soles, you might need to put the rubber bottoms to prevent and/or minimize slippage on carpets and slippery floors (I always get the cobbler to add them to any of my shoes that don't have the rubber on the front bottom soles; they're worth it).
These boots look great under bootcut style jeans, but you can wear skinny jeans, leggings, and/or leg warmers with these boots. They look nice with dresses and skirts too.
Don't miss out on this sale price because it's really worth it.

...not made for walking...
I've had these for a few months and worn them out a few times. The first time I tried to wear them I had to soften them with rubbing alcohol just to get them to go on my feet. One buyer had recommended going a size larger, and that's what I originally ordered (9) but those came off of my feet when I tried to wear them, so I got an 8 (I'm typically 7.5-8). Tonight I wore these to an event that required a lot of walking. I didn't even make it TO the event. Within 5 minutes of walking the skin on the backs of both of my heels was just gone (and, yes, I was wearing socks). I am in such incredible amounts of pain right now. I guess going a size higher and just wearing really thick socks would be an option with these, but definitely do NOT order your regular size and expect to wear them with any degree of comfort.

Perfect boot for a perfect wedding
I was looking at purchasing boots for my big wedding day. We are having a rustic outdoor wedding and a woman must have boots! My fiance recommended that I check out Fluevog. I wear a womens size 11. I called up the Los Angeles store and they answered all my questions. The two associates I spoke with were awesome! They took my order over the phone. I ended up ordering the burgundy in an 11. I was so incredibly surprised about how fast I received my boots. I ordered on a Friday afternoon and received them on a Monday morning.
It came perfectly packaged. The Los Angeles store even included a note on my receipt wishing me a great wedding! It's that extra effort that is going to make me a Fluevog customer for life. I tried on the boots and they are true to size. However, like the sales associate said, the boots do run on the narrow side which is perfect for me. After a few times wearing them... the hard leather started to break in and now they fit perfectly. I cannot express how impressed I am with my whole experience with Fluevog. The craftmanship has exceeded my expectations ten fold. It is a gorgeous boot that I will continue to wear for years and years after my wedding day. Plus it was a cute bonus reading about how Fluevog was inspired by his wife to design this series of boots.

My Mexican pointy boots.
These boots... I have worn them probably 20 times in the month I've had them. When I first opened the box I was on the fence. The stiff Mexican leather felt almost like vinyl, and I'm not into pointy toes. When I first put them on, the heel was a touch loose. But the leather is wearing beautifully and I've fallen in love with the silhouette. And the fit is great with a pair of thick socks (I'm an 8 1/2, and bought a 9). They're super comfortable (and the slipperiness wears off when you scuff them) and so damn cute.

They look wonderful! BUT....they are quite narrow (the length is true to size) and wow are these slippery! I just about wiped out just wearing these on carpet. I will try them with adhesive grips and hope that will fix things.

Fits Like A Glove
I really wanted to read some reviews before buying this boot. The first thing my husband said was "That's exactly what I want. Do they come in my size?" I have been debating since the sale started between the burgundy and the black. Went with the black thinking they would be more versatile. So glad I did! The online pics don't do them justice. These boots, although simple in design, have a definite Fluevog flair- a long, pointed toe and a very well defined bottom. The burgundy would have really drawn attention to the contrast between the black bottom and the shiny, stiff leather top. Not a bad thing but the black boot blends in with the bottom more. The craftsmanship is beautiful and these are very stiff yet comfy- I think they are going to last a good long time. The painted leather soles are extremely slippery, so I may have to get a grip put on. Maybe they will be less slippery once they get scuffed up. I am a size 9 with a wide foot so I ordered a 10 in these. My heels slip a bit when I walk so they are a smidgen too long- but a 9 would have been too tight. If you have a narrow foot these may run true to size but the recommendation to buy one size up was good for me. For the current sale price these are an awesome shorty boot to boost your collection.
