John recently spent some time enjoying the tropical sunshine of Hawaii, and being a big fan of drawing shoes while listening to public radio, John would frequently listen to the jazz programming on Honolulu Radio KIPO. One afternoon while tanning on the beach and sipping his Piņa Colada, John drew up a hybrid vintage motocross/engineer boot that would complete any ass-kicking outfit. Featuring Atlas leathers with a shiny buff in the upturned toe, an inside zipper, motocross pads above the heelcup, adjustable gusset along the topline, stacked tunite heel and sole with soft rubber soleplates, The Radio KIPO is all about the cool airwaves. Tune in, Turn on, and Vog out!

It fits better for narrow-footed customers and a true to size boot all around.

Great for women who have large calves
These fit me beautifully. The cut is so that they flare out right where the upper calf is largest.
The zippers are sticky, the left doesn't want to zip smoothly, so I may need to lubricate them some but no biggy.
I wear a size 6.5-7 and the 7's in these fit me perfect. They are a slimmer fit across the foot than the few other styles I've tried.
The "yellow" is an astounding butter tan colour, a dash of colour but still neutral for dressing.
These will be replacing my worn out "outdoor work cowboy boots" for being in the field and the range.

Better by & by
These gems started off comfy, stylish with just about everything I paired them with, appropriate for (my) work and non-work shoe needs. The magic is that they are still getting better. R side lateral ankle rub, easily soothed by a piece of tape. A week or two of this prophylaxis, and now I am wearing the boots without any tape, no rubs, no blisters, all freshness.

I was so excited to purchase my boots - had them on layaway and finally brought them home - and like the other posts - they seriously bite into my ankles - I have tried moleskin - cotton - you name it, and it continues to be a problem. Really disappointed :( - especially to learn that others have the same problem Do you have any suggestions to help?

avoid at all costs
These were my dream boots... in theory. When I got them, they cut into my heels, making it almost impossible to walk without wincing (just the way the leather is cut); the zipper broke after only the third wear; and they were VERY hard to get in and out of. Huge waste of money. Stick to the regular Radios, which are crazy comfy and look just as fab on your feet.

I love-love-love me some Fluevogs! I ordered these in yellow along with 2 other pairs of Fleuvogs. These will be my 6th, 7th, and 8th pair if all goes well! I never imagined I would spend this much money on ONE pair of shoes, let alone 8! The comfort and unique styles are what keep me coming back for more. I left it up my San Fran store to send the right size based on my previous purchases, so crossing my fingers and toes. I should receive this order tomorrow, so will post an update then.

I LOVE Fluevogs. In fact, they are the only brand of shoe I wear. Furthermore, I love Radios. So it is with heartbreaking disappointment that I must agree with the previous poster's comment about the boot cutting in at the ankles. In fact, after just two hours of walking, the skin had been broken just below my ankle bone on both feet. *-O Total bummer. I am going to try taping a layer of cotton pads to that area next time to see if it helps. Because pain factor aside, these boots are absolutely breathtaking. I got the yellow and they are, visually, my favourite pair of boots. Proceed with caution, I suppose.

I really didn't have my eye on these until I walked into the store the other day. They are so awesome, though! I got the yellow ones, which are really a rich, buttery brown...like a well worm pair of cowboy boots that you've just walked into town on. I am finding that the motorcross detail on the back is forcing the natural crease of the leather into my left ankle bone, which hurts. It's happening on the right, but a little further south so it doesn't bother me. I'm afraid the damamge has been done and that the bend in the leather will always be right where my ankle wants to be. Otherwise, they are comfy, just like all the other radio styles.

I just got these and yes they are made of Atlas leather (According the sales person in store). I think it means the leather is like a thick hide (think like the old western doctor's bag or those expensive business leather briefcases?). I'm usually a size 9 in boots but had to get them in a 10.The leather does have a smell to them and hopefully they will diminish over time. They are going to have a breaking in period because they are hard to put on at first >-( but I imagine they will soon be easy once it stretches. Don't know how long the break in period will be though. Boots run on the narrow side. It's best to try these on in the store.
The color even though it states yellow it's more of a natural leather color but it's a beautiful color which can look like a yellow. The zipper is really heavy duty. I love the look and style to these boots. Wearing them with skirts or jeans would look great in my opinion. I have not worn them yet. :-(

I had overlooked this boot when it first came out but after seeing a picture of someone wearing them, I saw great potential in the ochre pair, and I was right. The shading and distressing of the leather adds to the appeal, and the color is a nice addition to my mostly dark brown boot dept. Good arch support for a flat boot and wore them for several hours with no breaking in issues. I'm a 7.5 to 8 and the 8s are perfect.

I just got my umpteenth pair of Fluevogs and love them. This style fits so nicely all around. They fit my feet and calves perfectly with a tiny bit that flares out ever so slightly for the perfect amount of cool factor. The black and yellow are so different that I had to get them both. I know I'll be wearing them with shorts, long skirts, dresses, jeans and leggings. I'm excited to wear the black ones today! The yellow ones are already out of stock in my size in Vancouver, but luckily we were able to track them down online. I can't wait for them to arrive. The black is classy yet edgy and can be worn with practically everything in my closet; the yellow will be for everything else! Wes, at gastown's location, is awesome! His thorough product knowledge combined with impeccable service makes me love my shoes even more! I'm always greeted with a friendly hello and super service! Between the great shoes and stellar service, it's so hard not to shop there!
