Rules Low |
The Janice is named in tribute to one of the sexiest (and sadly tragic) voices of the 1960s. Many years after singing emotional songs written about whiskey, heartbreak, and the lonely life of rock'n'roll, Janice's songs will reverberate and inspire many singers to come. John designed the Janice as a natural heeled, slip-on sandal for the new generation of eco-minded voices singing about the Truth.
The Janice features vegetable-tanned rugged Atlas leathers in bright saturated summer colours, and is built on a 0.9" platform leather-wrapped recycled cork with a 2.75" leather wrapped heel. Modernizing this 1920's stylized mule sandal are flathead bolts, a rubber Truth soleplate, and four buckled straps for the perfect fit. Natural Beauty Rules.

I admit I only picked these up because they were on sale. It's warm here, so I wore them for the first time today. The fit is great -- a tad snug, but they'll stretch since they're suede. I love all the buckles, but you know what I love most of all???? the tiny hint of emerald that peaks out from my toes! Sets off the mint green of the rest of the shoes (any my girlie pink toenail polish). They made my Friday work garb (black and white polkadot button up bowtie shirt with screaming yellow capris) look completely fab. Vog on!!

A very thin shoe!
Ordered these in 1/2 size bigger than I wear in my non-vogs, but these are CRAZY thin. I'm have average feet, not particularly wide I don't thinkg and there is no WAY these are going to work out, even in a full 1.5 bigger than I usually wear. Returning them for something else...

ok, cute shoes, but not my most comfy fluevogs... sad I paid full price now that they are on sale for more than 1/2 off. Yes, they did take some stretching, but they are easy to walk in once you stretch them out.

Janice - Mint Green
So the awesome person in Seattle helped me size these and adjust those straps. Love the color that goes with everything...I walk all day in these and just relish the Fluvogian feel!
Just got my pair. Very cute shoes, BUT if you think you can actually adjust the instep with those cute buckles, stop right there. Only the straps crossing to the right are adjustable, so they are really little more than decorative buckles. The straps crossing to the inside are set on elastic for comfort, but are completely non-adjustable. Yes, these do run small lengthwise, so you may need to go up a half size. I need to figure out if I can get these things to stretched. Can't go any larger, or I'll just be tripping over the toes. It's as large as it can go and not be a hazard to wear. Moral of the story: wide foot, and or high instep, wave off and avoid these shoes. `:O

I also have these in green. They are super comfortable and there is lots of room in the buckles to keep them snug as the straps stretch out. The color on-line is true to real life and they really are exactly the beautiful sea glass green you see on your monitor. ]:o)

Love my new Janice's
Bought these in Montreal on F1 weekend. Awesome green colour and the heel is just right for me. Super comfortable to walk in, and I love that all the straps are adjustable.
