buttery happiness

I read the reviews and expected a breaking in period. There was none. On my second time wearing them I stood in them for 5 hours and it was wonderful. The leather feels like butter and the sole is like a dream. I'm always hesitant to buy something extravagant but these shoes earn their keep! I used to be a Fryes girl but now I'm completely a Vogs girl!

This boot puts the "ill" in "killer"!

I had been pining over this boot for the last time and finally I deserved a reward so I purchased this stunning pair and it was worth it! I fell in love with the look but then I put them on and fell deeper in love. They are very comfortable but you can tell they are really sturdy and high quality. I'm going to runway stomp around in my Coventrys until one of us can't keep walking. Reward your feet!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

I have waited nearly 2 years for these glorious boots to be re-stocked in brown, and it happened just in time for my birthday; ironically my 47th birthday, and these are my 47th pair of Fluevogs. Do not hesitate for one second to buy them, they will take you everywhere and you will love them madly. Just wore my black pair to walk all over London for 6 hours a day, so comfortable. As a 7.5 I have them in a 7 and they fit fine with regular socks.

Definition of Style

Have these boots in brown. Seriously have never had a more comfortable pair of shoes in my life. I would much rather wear these than anything else, and have. These boots not only have style but once you put your foot in them you will never go back.

Sexy boots!

I waited almost a year before writing this review. When I saw these boots in the store, I love them and wanted them ever so badly. I have to say it was a rocky start to our relationship...not the boot's fault. I normally take a 6 in shoes and 6.5 in boots but both Vancouver stores were out of my size...only a 7 was left. Went in and tried them on. They felt big but I convinced myself that they were perfect. (:-& The first couple of days were painful as the boots were too big and chafed. Over the next month, I added inserts and wore the boots with thicker boot socks. I also sprayed the inside with a mixture of alcohol and water (as suggested by a store clerk) and that helped a lot. The leather soften up and fits really well with all the admendments. I love these as much as I love all my Fluevog boots. ,-)

These boots are amazing - I just wore them for two 12+ hour days on my feet rehearsing/soundchecking/performing and was still happy to put them on again on day 3! Plus I was repeatedly complimented on them by everyone, including holding my foot over my head in a workshop so those behind me could see. You should consider including a pack of business cards with each purchase, so that owners can hand them out when others ask "where do you get those?!"

As young as you feel

What is 54 year old woman doing wearing these boots? Seriously struttin' her stuff! I bought these in black—thought I'd missed them last year and am stunned that John brought them back for a second year—and the 7s recommended by the NYC store fit my size 8 feet perfectly (with a standard boot sock). They were stiff to start, but flex up more with each wearing; the ankles are "breaking" and scrunching beautifully. I replaced the stretchy fibre shoelaces issued with them with black leather lacings, which better suit the style and stay tied tighter for better calf-grippage. They are disturbingly noisy—I don't like to hear my own footsteps— but I expected that from the sole construction. They look exceptionally good paired with a girly skirt for seeing the symphony, but are stable and supportive paired with my straight-leg levis when I go offtrail, stomping around in nature. After I get a bit more mileage on them, I'm gonna take a wire brush to 'em and give 'em some fake scuffing—as if they could get any sexier! And oh yeah: they make my husband act like my boyfriend.

Long live the Earl...

Buying shoes online can be a hai and miss affair, but not with Fluevogs. Not only do they fit like a glove, They are according to my wife HOT. Earl of Warwicks are terrific, amazing and that's some of the reviews from my work colleagues. These boots can change your life for the better, what have you got to loose, get em. Now for my second pair and maybe my second life?

I got these boots about a year ago, and am still wearing them on a daily basis. I did have to bring them in for a few adjustments - the lining had ripped and I wore through the soles pretty quickly. The Fluevog shoe doctors patched up my lining and added on some extra-strength soles, and I haven't had a problem since then. These are the most attractive, most comfortable, best boots I've ever owned and I can only hope that they are not discontinued anytime soon.

I am in love with these boots. I agonized about them for weeks. I had dreams about them. I got butterflies in my stomach every time I walked by. I gazed lovingly at their picture on the website for what seemed like an eternity until, finally, yesterday (payday!), I bounced into the Gastown store like a child on christmas morning and gleefully purchased them. They are so unbelievably killer comfortable. I generally fit a size 9 women's shoe and these were dead-on--no tightness or pinching in the toe box or across the foot at all. Like all worthwhile boots, the ankles take a little wearing in, but they're quick to do so; I also haven't had any trouble with the heels. The leather is beautiful--the colour of chocolate fondue with an undertone of caramel...I just spent an hour conditioning them and it was zen bliss. Be warned: you cannot hurry in these boots! They are not made for running. You can only walk confidently, in your own time, with purpose. So far I have worn them with a denim miniskirt, flared jeans, and a utilikilt, and have yet to find something they don't go with. If my size ever comes back in black I will buy a pair of those too. A great big shout out to the Gastown staff for being so utterly rad-tastic, genuine, and helpful. THANK YOU FLUEVOG. <3
