These were my first pair of Vogs...and a gift from my husband. The patent leather is so buttery that I wore them all day to work the first day and never got a blister! The velvet laces are also a nice touch. I get so many stares and a girl at a restaurant told me she would give me a 5-step head start to get out of the place before she would try to tackle me. Definitely a "notice me" shoe.

Groovy Baby!

I adore the Munsters style (this is my 4th pair in various colours). But the Gwynnes, with their shiny black patent leather and laceup style, are so unusual and different to everything else in my shoe collection, I just had to have them. And now in person with their super stylish, gorgeous, fabulous lushness, they are worth every penny! The black velvet laces are a nice touch too, in keeping with the overall goth princess theme. You couldn't have done better JF!! (if they came in white or red patent, hint hint ;-) the world would be simply perfect)

These are the Hottest Shoes!!!

Okay so I bought these and it was one of the only times in my life I've actually smiled when the cashier said "Your total is $380.00" and gladly paid it because really they're worth it. I have size 11 feet and these shoes make them look so tiny and delicate but also stomping sexy. I'm bordering on six feet tall in these and loving it. Also they are inordinately comfortable for something that looks like fetish wear and should be torturous for your feet but aren't in the least. I have a high arch and the little cushion of leather in the instep is perfect, they are a bit snug on the outside of my toes but I have wide feet and it's really not uncomfortable wearing them for extended periods. I pretty much wore them around the store for an hour. XD One thing a lot of reviewers don't seem to realize on here is that Fluevog is not a webstore but an actual in real life store and that each shoe design only exists in 6-11 pairs of each in each size. They are couture and bespoke and should be treated on an individual basis depending on style and the shape of each person's foot. If you can find a style you like on here then go try it on in real life if at all possible! Again each style is unique, like a piece of art for your foot, this is not Nike footwear people. I fit fine in this shoe but my high arch can't abide by the sole in the Babycake boots. So always judge each shoe on a case by case basis and love the individual and uniqueness of each shoe for what it is, a nearly one of a kind master piece for your feet. Also on a side note it's comfortable art for your feet so even better!

Update: Wow. Return time (process?) really leaves me cold. To Chicago Store's credit, they are doing it for me today, 11 days after I called to make sure my return package had actually reached its destination, and 16 days after the package was sent. Lesson learned. Because the amount for one pair of Fluevogs is nothing to sneeze at, please be sure either the style and fit leave no room for error, or you can part with nearly $400 for a full half month after your decision, before you click "buy."

Didn't work as well as 40th reissues

Ordered the 40th anniversary reissue Munster with the buckles; just got them (in grey). They seem to fit large - but because they're a lighter color and my foot shows through, they're more flattering on me than this Gwynne style. These shoes are beautiful off, but when they're on, they make my feet look tiny & my legs look bigger. If you have big feet, though, & you're trying to make them look smaller, then this may be the shoe for you!!
