Earl of Warwicks | Lancaster [Black]
GROUPS:   Sale   Boot   Casual   Mens   Unisex   Womens

The Lancaster boot is handmade in one of Mexico's best cowboy boot factories, and uses their own tough leathers built upon a thick, sturdy leather sole and a 1" stacked leather heel. A rebellious boot, already a favorite with the rough riders, the Lancaster is a revolutionary ankle zip-up boot with two buckle straps that wrap around the sole and instep and will make you a legend in your own right.

rock n roll

I normally wear a womens 9.0, but my toe box is so wide that I generally end up more comfortable in the mens version of any given shoe or boot. The Fluevog-er that handled my order suggested that I order these boots in size 6 instead of the 7 that I had ordered, due to them running very large. OK! Let's do it! The size 6 boots arrived and fit great from the front to back of my foot, but not so great in the toe box. I thought about this problem for quite a while b/c I really wanted these boots to work out...they looked far too awesome to give up on them, but the next size up would likely see me swimming in it. Therefore I found a local shoe repair person, he put the boots in the stretcher, and voila! Now they fit GREAT! I get loads of comments on these incredibly rock and roll boots, and they make a small but very satisfying jingle when I walk. Perfect heel, great height.

Suddenly I'm a god

First, I'm a dude. I think most of these reviews are by girls, but these are really dude boots. I tried to buy a pair in NYC, but they were all out, so I got on the phone to Calgary when I came home, and they sent me a pair that arrived in, like, two days. As everybody else says, they fit a whole size BIG. I wear a 9 or 9.5 and I bought these in 8. They were hard to pull onto my feet, but once I got them on they fit PERFECTLY. Now I wear them every day. I've had to go pants shopping so I could have more narrow-legged pants to show off the rock'n'roll of my Lancasters. Not to exaggerate, but I put them on and suddenly I'm a god. No; I'm serious.

tripping through the fall leaves

I purchased these boots on sale in an Ottawa store - so surprised to find them here - and so happy with them. They only had a men's size 5, and they fit my normal size 7 foot very well - maybe a tad on the big size, but I like my boots a bit bigger, the fit is still right. With an insole they are really comfortable and look so amazing with jeans, bootcut and skinny. The leaves are falling, it's been a bit rainy, the wind is kicking up - these boots fit right in! i had been looking for a pair of biker boots that are not too "fashionista", and was contemplating Frye's - but am much more happy with these.

Ready for a shindig

My mom picked these up for me during her trip to Vancouver (she is awesome and has a fantastic taste in shoes- it must be genetic, right?). Her feet are a size smaller than mine, so she bought them big. They are a big fit, but amazingly comfy and feel perfect right out of the box. It's worth wearing a little thicker socks to walk around in these babies. And I absolutely love the buckles! I feel like I've stepped right out of a western whenever I hear them. They're perfect with jeans and a tee, but are also going to be the centerpiece of my next steampunk outfit P-). I can't wait to show them off!

Mmmm...these smell good!

The nice people at the Seattle store helped with the sizing of these, and I got the size 6 men's for my size 8.5 women's type foot. When they arrived, first of all, I sat around sniffing them :-) then fondled them...finally I put them on. They were slightly bulky in the instep, but an insole (I walk a lot anyway, so it's good) and punching a few holes in the straps with an awl and mallet to cinch them up a titch gave a great fit! They take a little breaking in, but surprisingly little. The petrol blue is beautiful. This is real old-time Mexican boot craft, and is the Universal Boot: masculine on men, gorgeous on women, comfortable for everyone.

Great Boots

Thanks to Peter L at the Boston store for handling the ordering process and for finding some shoes in the same family for me to try on when the store didn't have these in stock. I love my new boots!

sexy bootz

I love these boots! I first saw them while visiting the Gas Town location and it was the beginning of a 6 month pursuit. Tried to get them in Montreal but they were sold out of the black. I wasn't sure if I was a size 10 or a size 9, and there was apparently only a size 9 available in all of Canada. I figured it was worth the gamble and ordered them to be delivered to the Toronto store. Lo and behold, the nine fit like a glove and a new era was born. I feel like a new man! ,->

Wicked boots

Comfortable out of the box, and ridiculously high style. I wore these while playing guitar in the bi-annual mariachi concert at the local university (the first time in 5 years that I did not wear my old, but mint, Fluevog Boys), and was complimented on my boots by the pro mariachis dressed to the nines in their charros! In addition to being mariachi-approved, they are also rock-approved.

These boots make a LOUD statement

Seriously, these boots are loud as hell! Not just the heavenly petrol blue color but also the incredible design. The fit is a little large for me and the leather is a little tough, but I can already tell that I will be own these shoes for a long, long time. Men, women, children, lo -- everyone -- cower before these not-so-dainty beauts! Whether I'm dressed up for the office or dressed down for the club -- these boots have got my back. Thanks again Mr. Fluevog for making an interesting pair of boots that cater to my individuality.

I fought the law...

Some people see dead people, I hear shoes. Sometimes they whisper sweet nothings, sometimes they beg, others scream to be put out of their misery but never ever has footwear sung to me. Until the day I laid eyes on the Lancaster's. Since that fateful meeting the Clash's "I fought the law" has been running through my head. It got so bad that I ordered myself a pair. They arrived yesterday and they are beautiful...and sexy bad. I'd say they fit a half size bigger then the rest of my Vog's but nothing that an insole didn't fix. I do wish that there were a few extra holes in the straps so that I could tighten them up a bit more but all in all they are WICKED!
