What better way to celebrate purchasing my 20th pair of Fluevogs during the Olympics in Vancouver than a Gold pair of 40th anniversary Angel boots? What a surprise when I opened them to see that they were signed and personally dedicated to me from JF himself? Yikes! Can I wear these? Of course! How could I not? I have a wide foot in a half size, so opted to go up. For about 5 minutes, I thought I'd made an error, but then the leather started to warm and shape to my feet, and very quickly they became super comfortable. And just as if the universe were in alignment, the first day I wore these was the first day that Canada won on Olympic gold on home soil. Memorable boots indeed.

beautiful, but they do scuff

I LOVE these boots, but the gold is only on the surface of the leather and it does come off pretty easily if you get a scuff. I want these to be hard-wearing go anywhere boots, but only week in and I already have several quite noticeable scuffs. I wonder is there such a thing as gold shoe polish?

When I wasn't looking, these became my favorite pair of angels (I've got 4 pairs). I lovelovelove the subtle flash of these boots. They look great with black skinny jeans! Plus, they are so comfortable and take a lot less time to lace than my taller angels. I'm afraid to wear these beauties out in the snow or rain because I don't want to mar the yummy golden finish, but as soon as the snow melts (again), I will be wearing these boots all over town. <3

Review Gold Derby Swirl

Derby Swirl Gold boots are just as comfortable as my other fluevog shoes. Quality Quality Quality! I am looking forward to sporting them out for years to come. I was told by phone that I might want to go down a half size but found the fit to be true to size. FYI They are more antique gold in color than the super gold pic suggests. Subdued flashiness. Pair for everyday wear. ]:o)

Last Forever!

I'm currently wearing my original brown derby swirls which were purchased over 15 years ago. These boots have travelled the world and still look fantastic. The sole does need to be replaced as the rubber was quite soft but I have heard that the new design has a much sturdier sole. I own 9 other pairs of Fluevogs and I still wear these the most. ,-)

Beyond Cool

I am IN LOVE.. I saw these on the web site and HAD to have. They aren't brash at all, they softly glow. The color is between gold and silver. They make my 9th pair of Vogs. I usually wear a women's 8, but had to go with a 7.5 in these.. I had to order from Seattle and Leah was great!! Happy Valentine's Day to ME!!

Just picked mine up today and they are fabulous. I agree with Liz from Boston that they are not as yellow as they appear on the website. They are more like what your Mother's silver tea set looks like when it's tarnished. They are going to only look better with age. Love them! :-D

Brilliant Angels

I'm so excited to be the 6th Bostonian to own these gorgeous glitzy Angels! The soles are lighter and cushier than my 5 year old Angel Supervogs, which have been my go-to shoes for 5 years since I miraculously found them at a thrift shop for $7. (Those were my gateway drug.) These gorgeous Derby Swirls are less yellow than on my screen, and more of a soft matte gold, even a little close to silver. Lovely. ]:o)
