In the late 1800s, Salida Colorado was a dusty, but promising town of Silver Miners and Railroaders when Laura Evans strolled into Wild West History. Running away from a convent in St. Louis Missouri, a young business-astute Laura Evans settled in Salida in 1890, quickly becoming one of the wealthiest people in town when she opened her brothel (known to be the finest in the Wild West). Laura lived a long, healthy, and successful life, and her bordello was legendary until 1950 when The Salida City Council finally shut down her business. Known to be a 'class act,' Laura attended the funeral of every single man she did business with (although surely given cold stares by angry widows). Using glossy patent leathers in contrasting colours, on a 2.5" Fellowship-hi heel and a soft rubber Attention sole, The Laura Evans is the sassiest T-strap pump John has ever made, so keep your hat on... it's going to be a wild ride! Keep pushing west and beyond your imagination.
Kate from our Los Angeles store says:
The Laura Evans is similar to The Pearl Hart. It has an easy fit. It runs true to size, and have an average width - comfortable for all!

Love at first sight
I bought these today in black. I had actually come in to try on several other pairs of shoes that I'd been scoping out online, but as soon as I saw these I was hooked. True to size, stylish, and comfortable as anything. I do adore a good 1920s/30s-esque shoe. Even the cat is loving them.

Love at first step
This is my third shoe in the Bellevues family and easily one of my favourites! My last pair (Dumonts) were purchased half a size too large by accident, and don't get a ton of wear because of that. Armed with that knowledge, I snapped these beauties up in a 10, which is a perfect fit. (My non-Vog size is a solid 10, so I find these true to size). The rubber sole is a delight, making them even more comfortable than their predecessors, and very wearable for work. I got them in the new black colourway, though I'm still loving the grey/burgundy patent! Maybe one day . . .

I purchased the black and cream patent pair on sale and couldn't be more pleased. I usually wear a size 11 and bought a size 11.5 which appears to be my lucky number in Fluevog sizes. Anticipate these will be placed on regular rotation for work wear and fun times. Snap these beauties up while you still have a chance. Am already coveting the burgundy/grey pair but my Winnipeg frugalness has held me back :)

My fourth pair of Bellevues...
...which says something, I think, about how very good this shoe family is. They are comfy. They are stylish. They are high enough to make your calves look very nice, but not so high that you can't take a full stride. I can wear these all day without achy feet problems. I love a good t-strap -- very retro. I have average width feet, normally a size 5.5 or 6, and these fit perfectly in the size 5.5. And there is something very appealing about the shiny black t-strap and matte black heel/toe. It makes them a little polished, but not too dressy for everyday wear. Love the tiny splash of dark red on the buckle.

These shoes are great! Bought them yesterday in TO because the mini gorgeous was not available in my size. I simply could not walk out of the store without them. I wore the shoes all day today, no problems at all. I purchased these in the light pink, size 9.5. May get another colour also!

Lusting relieved, love Laura!
I've been lusting after Laura Evans for a couple of years now. When the grey/burgundy version was revealed, a visit to Vog-dom was required! After the worst drive into Van-town (7.5 hours instead of 4.5) I needed the pick me up of these sassy shoes! I've worn them 3 days now (Pearl Hart is definitely jealous) and they were perfectly comfortable from the first moment. Love the Bellevues. Perfect height for work and fun. True to size. Great width. Thanks Alan/Allen/Allan!

I lusted after these shoes since they arrived months ago, very classic with a touch of quirky. My size sold out during the sale so I bought these at Gravity Pope (also on sale). They are very comfortable. The only thing that detracts a bit from their beauty is that the patent leathers crinkles a bit in front of the T-strap, the sides where the cream part dips to the sole and on the back where the seams are(not noticeable there). I think this is the nature of patent leather and also the cut of the shoe. Having said that, they are beautiful, well made and I am very happy with my purchase.

these shoes are a fashion game changer
These are my 4th pair of fluevogs. I don't think I can wear other shoes. The dusty rose colour is exquisite, and the little blue buckle -- such a tiny splash of funkiness -- turns these adorable shoes into spectacular fashion statements. They feel divine, make banal outfits look like high fashion. Just marvellous.

My husband and I admired a friend's stylish shoes at a party last month and she told us they were Fluevogs. I looked up the company on the web and decided to buy these gorgeous shoes. Yes the price is high but, in my opinion, you get what you pay for. They arrived, beautifully packaged (thanks Émilie in Quebec City), in four days. I am usually a size 9 in North American shoes, so ordered a size 9 and fretted until I received my shoes. They fit perfectly! Today I wore them all day at work and my feet do not hurt and I have no blisters. I will definitely be ordering from Fluevog again. And, my husband bought himself a pair of stylish Fluevogs, too!
