Cheerful
[Aqua]
Playing mad Scientist, John created The Cheerful - a
comfortable and delightful Spring shoe embracing the fit of
The Operetta Family, the soles of The Hope Family, the soft,
pebbled leathers of The Prepare Family, and the 2.25"
leather wrapped heels of The Thanks Family. Featuring
delicious suedes, triangular patterned cut outs, and
oversized stitching, The Cheerful might even be the cutest
thing you've ever put on your feet. F is for all things Hope.
Ali from our New York store says:
The Cheerful has a great heel height and a nice spacious toe box. The round toe box makes it a bit short, so we see some people go up a half size.

Super duper comfy
I had to get the blue ones. They are so comfortable, no time at all for breaking in. I had to go up a size and a half from my usual. I've worn them twice now, and I get a ton of compliments. The heel is really solid. These shoes are fabulous!

Delightfully Neutral
Promise in blue and Cheerful in tan were my top priorities for spring and I am beyond thrilled with each. The stitching, cut-outs and blue soles of the Cheerful make a neutral tan shoe just a bit more lively and with the sole of the Hope family I knew they'd be comfortable straight away; even with the slight heel they will be an excellent walking shoe. I am between a 7.5 and 8 and got the 8, which works great with tights and thin-medium socks. This is a fitted shoe but has a wide toebox and an 8 always seems best in this type of style.

Adorable!
I just recently bought these in aqua in the Boston store, before they were available on the website. I have to say first that the Boston store staff kicks major butt, and Rachel in particular is fabulous.
These shoes are SO much cuter in person. Some shoes you see online and think "meh" and then you see them in person and your opinion creeps up, and then you try them on and suddenly you're in love. These are those shoes.
They run true to size for me - I'm typically a 7.5 in Fluevog and that's what I bought. Perfect fit. The heel is very comfy, and while the leather is a little stiff on my ankles, they're already beginning to soften up. Rachel tried a couple of different colors of shoelaces with these - very fun to change the look up a bit. They look great with dark jeans, they're cute, they're retro without being twee, and they're comfy.
