Just as he brought us the highest peak in the world, John brings another wonder from heaven to your feet. The Everest is an eloquent t-strap that uses old gold buckles with an ankle strap for a perfect fit. Designed on a vintage Fox & Fluevog hand carved wooden last which includes a soft pointed toe with a curvy toe spring, the Everest has an unfinished raw leather wrapped 2.5" heel on a leather sole. Handmade in a Peruvian factory that has a reputation for outstanding quality and craftsmanship, the Everest features light Argentinian leathers with lots of body and depth, ornate stitching, teardrop cut outs, and will amaze your bewildered feet as you walk among the clouds.

What a heartbreak. I bought these shoes and on the second time I wore them, the plastic bottom of the heel came off while I was walking to work. By the time I noticed, the structure of the heel on that shoe had been significantly damaged. The shoe repair place says they are a lost cause.
I've been a Fluevog customer since 1996, and I've always told myself the shoes were worth the money because they were so high quality. I don't even know what to think now. I spent over $250 dollars, and I don't have my beautiful shoes to wear any more.
I am wondering why the shoe prices keep increasing if the quality is falling. I am not usually a complainer, but this is just such a bummer I wonder if I can ever trust the brand again.

Sizing
First off, incredible comfortable and way too cute! Amazing shoes! My only comment is a tip for online buyers, I have the Everest and the Kilimanjaros and I should note that the sizing on the Wonders are the same as Bellevues.
I'm a perfect fit in size 7 in the Wonders and Bellevues but an 8 in Coffees and Wearevers. Just a hint if you don't want to keep sending super cute shoes back for exchanges!

So super pretty - I gasped when I saw them on the site. I guess that gasp was loud and clear, because I was surprised with a pair of these suckers for my birthday last week!
They're sassy and stable, and the ankle strap sits above my ankle bones, which is a very flattering location for it. I wear a 6 or 6 1/2 and have these in 6 1/2... I was worried I should go down but honestly, they're not super wide and I think I'm just not used to that pointy toe.
I'll be looking to get some protection applied to those gorgeous leather soles so I can wear them all summer. I'm stoked - it's a good sign when you want to roll all your pants way up to show off your shoes!
gorgeous, but painful!
I had been pining after these shoes for weeks when I saw them on the website.
Sadly, when I strolled down to the awesome little boutique that carries Fluevogs and tried these babies on I almost wept. The ankle strap goes RIGHT over BOTH of my ankle bones and was painfully uncomfortable.
Not new shoes, need to break it in, but no chance in H-E-double-hockey-sticks uncomfortable. Their strap needs to be either up or down more to make these shoes wearable.
Fortunately, the SUPER comfy "Wearever Gracias" shoes were in my size, so I took them instead. I have 2 pairs of Wearevers, the Obrigadas and now the Gracias. I can't settle for uncomfy shoes...sorry!

A new satisfaction to my vog addiction
I saw these beauties on line and had to have them! Thank you to the always wonderful and amazing people at the Haight store who make sure I have the right size (these fit true to size by the way) whether I drive the 3 hours to see them or have my Vogs sent untried. These shoes are gorgeous and comfortable while making me feel like a 1920's movie star. My friend Becky will be so jealous!! I Love Fluevog!! :-D
