In 1899, troublesome teenager Pearl Hart (age 17) left her hometown in Ontario for the Wild West. While in Tucson, Pearl fell in love with a mustachioed shyster named Joe Boot, and together they formed a successful mugging duo. After finding out that her mother had a serious illness and needed money, Pearl set her sights on bigger game and became the first stagecoach robber in Arizona. After getting caught napping by the Sheriff, Pearl was sentenced to 5 years of hard time in an all men's penitentiary - making her not only the first woman to go to prison in Arizona, but the first to get pregnant in prison! She was released afterwards due to the fact that her two cell mates were the former Governor and a Minister. Using soft dusty leathers with an ankle buckled strap on a 2.5" Fellowship-hi heel and tunite Bellevue sole, this Mary Jane is sure to get you in and out of trouble.

From the fit experts:

Kate from our Los Angeles store says:
The Pearl Hart is an easy fit. It runs true to size, and have an average width - comfortable for all!

Rockin Rosie

I have many Fluvogs and these are my favorite. My feet are wide with a high instep, but whatever - these shoes fit perfect. I feel so feminine in them and strut around the city like a princess. A young woman got on the elevator the other day and stopped, looked up at me and asked, "are those Fluevogs"? I so proudly said "yes"! By the way, if anyone would like them a bit redder....just buy a Meltonian Creme at your nearest shoe repair shop. It's a small jar of creme in a vast array of colors. Just rub on with a cloth evenly all over the shoe. It won't affect the black, because it's darker. The creme also will give nurishment to the leather. I happen to love the rosie wine color because I have a million pairs of shoes and they are pleasantly different. ,->

Stylish but a little painful

I absolutely adore these shoes but I had to have them stretched... and even now I think I will have to take them back to the cobbler to re-do them, they are just not wide-enough for my feet. Having said that, though, they are amazing with tights and business skirts and as long as I don't have to walk far or be on my feet for too long, they are definitely stylin' to wear, especially for long days in the board room! :-o

I have these in the wine & black. The leather is so so soft, almost satin-like in texture. The colour is definitely more pinkish than red as noted below, definitely wine and not red. The shoe fits a little more tightly than my minis or operettas, so I went with a 9.5. Lovely shoe!

First Pair!!

I kept looking at them online for months and I finally bought them today. As soon as I put them on in the store they were perfect. It feels like I could wear them 24/7. They are so cute!

What can I say these were my first vogs. Love at first sight and fitting. A show stopper eveytime I wear them. Only down side?... they get more attention than I do.

Too pink

Like others who have reviewed the "red" Pearl Harts, I agree that they are far more pink than red. Wine as a color is technically correct, the the pictured pair is misleading. Not enough that I'd get another color, but enough to make my heart sink just a tad when I was lusting for red shoes. The shoes themselves are fantastic. Comfy and easy to balance on for someone a little uncoordinated like myself.

Vog Virgin

Bought my first Vogs in December in NYC. I have never, ever felt this way about shoes before. Having had an ankle injury, heels are normally a no-go for me but I Can Wear These. And not only can I wear them, but I can turn heads, distract angry commuters and basically cheer up London (England) on the rainiest day. Mr Fluevog, your shoes make me smile. Thank you.

In love with my Pearl Harts!

I was soooo disappointed when I got home on Friday to find a "you missed a delivery" card in my letterbox. Thankfully, the local post office opens early for pick-ups, so I could go in this morning, collect my gorgeous olive shoes, and wear them to work. I was hooked on the Malibrans, but now I'm addicted to these - and they come in so many colours! Not much work being done today, since people keep stopping me to admire my shoes.

Narrow-footed femme fatale finds fit

Not that I'm actually a femme fatale (more like an a grown-up tomboy) but these shoes make me feel like one. Having narrow feet, I have a hard time finding cute shoes that actually fit. For this reason, I never really got comfortable with heels. That said, I accompanied a friend to the fluevog location downtown anyway, not expecting to buy anything, but ended up putting these babies on layaway and taking them home a month later. The people working there were so helpful in recommending styles that work for narrow feet, and when I tried these on, I felt like they had been made for me. The adjustable strap is flexible and these shoes are so much more comfortable than any shoe this hot has a right to be. The red actually looks more like a dark rose-pink in real life. They work great with jeans as well as pencil skirts, cigarette pants, and dresses. I teach teenage girls, and when I wear these to work, (I can actually teach in these!) everyone from freshman to faculty remarks on them. I wholeheartedly recommend them, and want them in every color. They are my favorite shoes. :-D

Very pretty shoes

I bought these in black online (pair 3) and they are beautiful, stylish and go with everything--casual and dressy. So I wore them to a conference in Vancouver. Through long, long days & walking back and forth to my hotel... my feet were a little perturbed, not being used to heels in high doses (see ref to long long days above). Fortunately the conference was downtown and right around the corner from the Granville store, so I bought some Operetta's (Guilia) in wine and they were like BUTTER! (pair 4).
