[Black & Gray]
Just like pigtails and motorcycles, John brings you the Amanda - a zooming wingtip shoe with a swing toe last, and an almond toe shape. Built on tunite soles with durable Bottero suedes, the Amanda is perfect for finding a beautiful place to get lost in, while riding your vintage '76 Honda CB-500 Twin. A thankful person is a happy person.
Samuel, Emilie, Genevieve and Dominique from our Quebec City store says:
The Amanda is a long and lean oxford. If you find yourself to have a narrow foot, then then this shoe will be perfect; otherwise, consider going up half of a size!

A great shoe for a teacher
This shoe ran a bit small compared to the Fluevog heels I've bought, so on the recommendation from the sales staff I went a size bigger that usual and it is just right. As a teacher I stand all day I have to say my various Fluevogs are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

Good looking and comfortable.
After trying on about 20 pairs of shoes and boots in the Boston store, these are one of two I purchased. Have not regretted it at all. Yes, they are narrow, but so are other Fluevogs. The leather is forgiving and soft feeling so there is little if any break in period and they fit my wider foot like a glove. I especially love the way they feel with a cashmere sock. They just look so sharp. My friends are jealous! I can't help feeling a little smug whenever I wear them.

I purchased this shoe back when it came in a brown/carmel color and I honestly regret not reviewing earlier. The leather of this shoe is so substantial and sleek that I feel impenetrable in them. Also, I am in love, love, love with the almond toe of this shoe. The lift it gives to the front of the shoe really adjusts the way I walk in it, making each step feel graceful and resolute. I only wish that Fluevog would introduce more colors for this shoe, maybe even a true black and white with that same semi-lustrous leather?

I love oxfords and had been looking for a pair that was predominantly black. I stumbled across Amanda and was instantly in lust. When she arrived, I knew it was a match made in heaven. I was worried that the shoe being black and grey (rather than the black and white I had been looking for) would look weird, and I would hate it. I was so wrong. While the grey is obviously grey (they don't look that grey at all online), I think it works beautifully. The fit: I have a slightly wide foot and wear a 6.5 (though I can wear most 6.5 medium width shoes). I also have high arches. After reading the reviews, I decided to go with a size 7, and the Boston store confirmed that was best choice for me. And when I got the shoes, I knew the 7 was the *right* choice because the shoes are a bit narrow (I had a difficult time trying to get my feet in the shoes the first time I wore them), and the toebox is a bit small and would have crowded my toes in the 6.5. After 3 hours of wearing these shoes for the first time, they fit as if they were custom-custom made for my feet, and I love them. I don't regret the splurge at all, and I am regretting the fact that I did not get these in the brown and black when I had the chance.

My first pair of Fluevogs and I am in love! My Amanda's were comfy from day one and I wore them to work!! Was worried as they seemed quite narrow but are breaking in beautifully.Lots of compliments on them as they are a tad different to the general flats you see. Mine are the black/grey and I just couldn't be happier:)) Much thanks to Preet for all her expertise, She was awesome! Thanks so much!Luv Luv Luv

Great Narrow-fitting Shoe! :-)
The Adrian Amandas in black, grey and purple are my sixth pair of 'vogs and my second in the Adrian family (I also own the Agnes in fire engine red). I had to get the Agnes in a size 8, but I got the Amandas in true-to-size 7. I have AAA narrow feet and these are so far fitting like a glove. Perfect. the "purple" is more of a light pink, which is fine for me. I bought them to "replace" my irreplaceable Angel Ivans which after c. 10 years of near constant wear for every day and casual have had to be put out to pasture. :*( I hope that the Amandas work out just as well...

Found in Europe
I love John Fluevog shoes and have been eyeing the Amandas for some time, but as I live in Europe it´s a kind of difficult/expensive to arrange them. Some time ago I discovered them at European online seller www.raspberryheels.com and gave it a trial. I was rather impressed with the service, shipping and help concerning the sizing so I will be repeating customer for this seller in foreseeable future (so many other Vogs to buy).
About the size: I am typically 36 EU but based on the reviews I bought size 7. I am glad I did as this model is a narrow one. However, after few hours wearing them at home they are perfect fit and feel like gloves. Comfortably constructed and so beautiful! Be aware that the colors are a slightly different from the photos. I have the black and white combination, but it seems more like dark and light grey. I do not mind though, in fact it is more intriguing. Oh, and as recommend by other customers I too will use some colored shoe laces (maybe pink?).

I couldn't LOVE my first pair of Fluevogs more. It's impossible. They fit perfectly (after reading lots of reviews, I got a half size bigger than my normal), are soooo comfortable from day one, and are just me to a tee! Thank-you for helping me express myself in the world of shoedom! :-D

I found these incredible shoes at the Chicago store and bought them in the black/grey/purple (which I see more as a bluish, smokey pink, gorgeous whatever you call it!). At first they feel a bit snug in the toe bed, but after the notorious breaking in, by wearing thicker socks and gradually going thinner, they now fit like a glove. I have bunions beginning and was worried about the squeeze but in the past six months the leather has formed beautifully around my feet I can wear them walking around all day (with or without socks) while staying comfortable and gathering repeated compliments from strangers of all kinds. The tabs behind the ankles prevent the back from digging into your heels which is genius!
They look great with shorts (which is tough to do for an oxford), capris, jeans and pants; they easily make a casual outfit just a bit more attractive and unusual. It's a very classic style with a funky twist. I love them so much I am considering the Heidi boots too.
