Finally a Fluevog that REALLY fits

I loved these the moment I saw them on the website but in the year and a half that I have been wearing Fluevogs I have slowly come to realize that the styles I really like aren't right for my feet. So I watched and waited to see how fellow wearers found these shoes. Upon seeing that they are appreciated by those who don't have wide feet, I dove in. I purchased them in both black and brown (thanks to the great staff in Boston for recommendation). I ordered up 1/2 size from my usual non-Fluevog size, and they fit PERFECTLY - which means that this shoe is good for a narrower foot. The brown is absolutely fabulous mixed with the dark purple, which really looks more like an oxblood. The shoe goes with practically everything - pants, jeans, knee-length skirts, my hipster ruched skirt. It is so nice to see understated color with outstanding style. I wish there was more of that in the collection. And finally, possibly MOST importantly, these have the brown SILENT leather lining. I have to say I really hate the noisy, squeaky white lining of my favorite line - the Minis, and have decided I won't buy any more Fluevogs with the white lining because for the kind of money these shoes cost, they shouldn't make annoying sounds when worn without socks or stockings. I've never purchased a pair with the white lining that don't make the annoying sound, with the Benatars being the latest confirmation of that design flaw. So five stars for this style - it hits all the right notes for silhouette and color, five stars for comfort and wearability, and four stars for quality - my straps, too, are very lazily punched and some of the holes are so close to the edge they are practically unusable.

Loveee them!

I was in the Cordova store in Vancouver helping my hubby purchase some sexy brogues for himself and much to his dismay I fell in love with these at first site! Then when I tried them on they were so comfy out of the box I didn't want to take them off! The 8 fit my narrowish size 7.5 foot perfectly! Was really wanting the tan lace up Wyatts but these are very "spring" in spite of the two toned darker brown and burgundy and look great with skirts and knee highs! xo Fluevog!

These are fantastic. I'm 7.5-8 with a narrow foot and the 8s fit perfectly with light-medium weight socks. One thing, the buckle holes are punched in a little lazily. Some of the buckle holes are anatomically impossible (!) and some are just not in the middle of the strap. Otherwise, perfectly high quality show that wears well.

Hello my lovelies

I waited months for a restock of the Ali and it was worth the wait. After my first day wearing them in black I went back and bought them in brown. No breaking in required, they're the perfect flat for work and play. My friend suggested they're a little subversive, due to the straps and buckles, I think he's projecting his fantasies onto what I thought were fairly conservative shoes, but you know what, I'll take it! :-{ I thought I had wide feet, but these fit just fine.

Why can't you make this in half sizes?

Love the shoe!!! Finally arrived this afternoon. It fits more snug than I expected. I can wear a 7, 71/2, or an 8 on occasion. The length of the 7 is great, the 8 would definitely be too long. The 7 is a bit snug. It fits more like a high heel than a mary jane, if that makes sense. I wish these came in half sizes because the 7 1/2 would be perfect. I may get them stretched a bit if they don't stretch out on their own. I will keep them and love them with all my heart.

Glad I tried them on!

I went into the Boston store yesterday to try these on as I'm normally a 7 1/2 and have a high arch. Lo and behold, the 7s fit perfectly. I own shoes in 7, 7 1/2 and 8, so it really could have gone in either direction for me. I'm so glad I've got a store nearby and could go and try them. And I'd like to say a big thank you to the staff there. They were all great.

my fabulous fourth

I made my fourth pair of Fluevogs the Alli. I was very pleased to see them back in stock after the holidays so I bought them up right away. I wear a 9 normally and these seem to fit true to size. I must agree that these are more narrow than most shoes, so beware wide-footed Fluevogians. I adjusted the top strap to be a bit more yeilding and they feel good. breaking them in has been a breeze. I love the versitility of these shoes and I know that thay can go through all seasons with ease and style. And I was so giddy to see John's cute little message on the soles of these. He never ceases to make me smile.

My wish came true

I want to be buried in these shoes. I'm going to put that in my will. They're so fabulous, it's hard to find the appropriate word, even in our language ripe with superfluous adjectives! They did pinch slightly in my right second toe, but I soon got over that. They go with dresses, skirts, pants, panties, tights, socks, bare feet, and probably even legwarmers, if that's your style.
