Inspired by Wabi Sabi, a Japanese concept centered around the notion that nothing is permanent, and beauty is in the imperfections of aging, John brings you a gorgeous ankle boot from deep within his creative mind (which is both imperfect and impermanent). Designed as a basic chukka on a long footbed with a rounded toe-shape, The Sasha is all about the genuineness. Made in Vietnam with partial blake construction, leather soles, stacked leather heels, and arrives in either black pebbled German leather, or in unlined Italian natural leather. The Sasha will patina and soften with age, and will only get better like the finest sake.
Andrea from our Vancouver (Gastown) store says:
The Sasha fit half a size long.

Love hurts! (but not anymore)
If you want shoes that command attention, without being flashy, and you're not afraid of a boot that starts off a bit stiff and unforgiving, then these babies are for you. They are drop dead gorgeous on or off the foot, and they go with just about anything (just not shorts--damn!). It is a thicker, raw leather, so at first I had to take them on shorter walks. Now that I've had them for a few months, they are breaking in and becoming SO comfortable. They are conforming so nicely to the shape of my foot (true to size btw), and the boots look fantastic with a bit of wear. Now that its summer I sometimes wear them barefoot and they feel like moccasins. I have had so many compliment on these babies. I think they are my favorite Fluevogs yet. Can not wait to see how much more comfy and sexy they get!
