[Black Paisley]
In 1866, Indiana teenager Pearl DeVere (age 14) ran away from strict religious parents and ended up working the brothels of Denver. When the last great Colorado Gold Rush turned Cripple Creek into a Boomtown, Pearl started her own brothel there, employing several local girls. She was well known for wearing lavish clothing in public, and for never being seen twice in the same clothes. In 1895, Pearl met and married a wealthy mill owner - wealthy, until a fire raged through Cripple Creek's business district, destroying most of the businesses, including his mill and her brothel. Her husband never recovered financially and moved to California, while Pearl stayed in Cripple Creek to rebuild her brothel. With construction finished in 1896, Pearl decorated with lavish carpets, hardwood furniture, electric lamps, and bathtubs with running water, making her brothel the most modern and successful business in town. Pearl battled insomnia and used Morphine to help her sleep, but sadly in the summer of 1897 Pearl accidentally overdosed and was found dead at the age of 33.

finally!
I wanted this boot in paisley since last spring when they first came out. Unfortunately, I missed the boat as the sizes flew off the shelves very quickly. So when I saw this boot being restocked (I admit to squeeing in delight. while at the office. yes, people looked) I made sure to call in for Toronto store to hold a pair for me. It's a great thing I had to go in, anyway, to return/exchange a pair of gorgeous red Fortunes (4" is just a little too high for me, for an every-day shoe) because once I started trying DeVeres on, I realised I would have to go down an entire size to 8.5 from my usual 9.5 in Fluevogs *and* other Bellevues, of which I have ahhh a few, let's just say. I have narrow feet and almost no instep to speak of, so maybe that's the reason. Even a 9 was too big and a little wider in the ankle than it should be. Long story short, I'm a happy happy owner of 8.5 DeVeres. As always delighted with the service I got at the Queen West store. Fourteen pairs and counting. What's next?

Love these sexy boots
I really wanted ( or so I thought ) the Wicked boots but my high arch would not make the turn in the ankle. Sad I roved the web site again looking for a brown boot and viola. Jill at the Granville store was awesome measuring them for me for the perfect fit. I got them, I HAD to wear them out that very night and I got stopped twice walking downtown in them. Love these boots, they are comfy out of the box and very stylish. I had to go up a whole size with my high arch and wide foot but they are very comfy. Now what pair to get next? Will be in the store at the end of April looking. :-)

Love these!
Got them in the middle of a Tucson summer and wore them anyhow because they are so beautiful. I'm a 10 in non-vogs, and a 10-11 in vogs--I ordered these in 10-1/2 because my feet are a bit wide. I would go up another half size if you want to wear them with anything thicker than tights. They fit like gloves, even around my thick ankles (I measured & called a store to make sure they'd work), and they're always the best shoes in the room. I can manage standing hours in them, and walking too- no tender spots after the first wearing.

how to care for Bellevues DeVere
Hi, I just got my Black Paisley Bellevues and was wondering how to protect them from rain etc. before I start wearing them. The leather is very tricky. Shall I treat it like suede? Any hints will be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you give your shoes a spray with an all protector shoe spray, you can brush the dirt out with a suede brush , or an old toothbrush. Also using the side of an eraser will lift off dirt as well.

Beautiful, so easy to wear!
I fell in love with the paisley boots online; my girlfriend gave them to me as a present. They are more gorgeous in life than in the photos, and very soft. I'm usually a size 10, and the 10.5 fit perfectly (my feet are a little wide). Thank you for making these boots!
Stunning Statement Boots
These boots are so stunning in design that you can wear with a bathrobe and no one will notice since your feet are so well-attired. Everyone should have these.
Latticework dream
I went to the NYC store with every intention of trying on summery fun 'vogs - I left with two pairs of ankle boots and the biggest smile on my face.
These (I got the black and white print) fit like a dream - the heel is a little less substantial than the heels on the Minis (I live in my Zazas) but it's the perfect height for running around the office or anywhere else.
The latticework is the best part - I wear them with brightly colored tights so the color pops through. Casual observers aren't quite sure what's going on so they stop and lean down to look a little more closely. These aren't shoes for people who don't like to attract attention.
The zipper up the back is a little sticky at the curve of my heel - I think that'll loosen up with wear. I was advised to scotch guard these frequently, but these boots are so worth that effort. Love them, can't wait to wear them with jeans.

Oh.My.God. I'd been looking at these on the web for weeks but my size was sold out. I knew I was visiting Vancouver this weekend so went into the store on Granville - and they had my size! I was so thrilled I almost cried, and I love, love, love these boots! Thanks Fluevog, you guys rock!

Paisley Beauties !!
I was eyeing these booties for awhile, but when I went to the store to buy them, they did not have my size.
The wonderful sales people found them in Toronto, and for a small price, which was well worth it, I now own these magnificent boots. I wear a size 7 1/2 and they fit just right. The Fluevog people know how to take care of you !! Thanks for making a Dazzlingly Beautiful pair for boots.

Love at first sight!!!
My love suprised me with this beautiful shoe on Valintines day... When I opened the box I just about fell over, very unexpected! I had been stalking them for about a week never have I worn a more comfortable and sexy shoe... These are my first fluevogs and I'm more than impressed. They will not be my last <3.
