i Believe High | Simon [Brun]
GROUPES:   Botte   Femmes   Talon

I Believe. (Je crois.)

Brother!

I admit, I tried them on because I have a brother named Simon...but I bought them because they are super comfortable and funky. The only thing I would say is that the plain leather sole is not good in the rain so I had to take them to a cobbler to get rubber put on them. It IS Vancouver....

Super hip boots!

Mostly men comment on these boots each time I wear them. (I own them in brown - purchased them in downtown Seattle. I went to buy a different pair and ended up with these!) I like them with my jeans and a fleece jacket, and feel pretty cool in them. I have to dress in business attire for work, so these boots with jeans is a real treat for me on weekends. In the summer, I paired them with dockers and wore them to the office - nice! It was a bit of a struggle to get them over my heel in the beginning, but they softened up quickly, and it is good now. Not too narrow or too wide.

I had to chase these down

I saw these boots while on a trip to NYC. I wandered into the SOHO store and tried on a pair but they were two sizes too big. So, I left and did get a card which I then lost. I returned home to CA and had no idea what store I was in but couldn't stop thinking of the boots. So, I knew I had left Balthazar and headed to the shoe store so I googled all shoe stores in the area and finally after some detective work, found the store AND the shoe. YES! I love them, my favorite boot of all time. Very, very comfortable and the workmanship is impeccable. I'm a 7/12 but ordered 8. The fit around the ankle is very nice, wraps around nicely. Great with shorts, jeans, dresses, everything. They look sooo cool. My first pair and I'm sure I will return.

The perfect boot to take the pressure off my dearly beloved Coventrys, don't want to wear them out! I'm generally a 7.5 and the 8 is just right. The leather is scrumptious, thick yet soft and molds to the foot instantly, heel is under-slung and the sole rolls smoothly when I walk. I love them, in short. I find the boots and shoes made in Mexico to be of extraordinary quality, I have 2 pairs of Coventrys and Danielsons and also the Hudson and they are incredibly sturdy and comfortable.

So good. I wasn't sure I needed these in addition to my brown BBCs, but I got the Simons in black and have no regrets. I'm not normally into square toes, but they really fit with all the angular aspects of these boots. I pair them with country-looking outfits because they have a bit of a Frye feel to them, or goth it up with some striped pants and I get tons of compliments either way. Required NO break-in except the instep is pretty damn steep when you're putting them on the first few times. I have a narrow foot and normally don't go for heels, and these fit me 100x better than the Adriana Nuni.

Everything Monkey said about these shoes is true. But the part about 'feeling them up', is very, very, very true. Trust us, you want these boots.

I only wish that the "I Believe" inscribed on the sole was in a place that didn't get worn off from wear.

These shoes are hot

Wether there's a girl in you or a guy in you, you're gonna want these shoes. My try on was bit rough in that the right boot was hard getting into, but what do you expect when you have one foot larger than the other? So ignore that comment. They're a little tricky in that they hate ankle socks (they slip to and fro while breakin in and wearing), so you better be prepared to free foot or have amazing socks that you aren't ashamed off. But good lord, I love them! I wear them w skirts, dresses, skinny jeans, ANYTHING really. They smell great and they look damn sexy on the ankle. You want these boots. Trust me. I'm feeling them up right ow as I type this...and I'm in a bar in NY during Fleet week. Use your own judgement on that comment, but I assure you you want these boots.

Oh Hi

....Ive never met a Fluevog that I didn't love, and here is no exception. The only surprise is how excited I get to wear them and then when I can't- the leather sole is preventing me from wearing them as much as Id like to in this raining Spring weather. To be a little more clear about the comfort of these shoes, I recently injured my ankle and I am finding these shoes to be excellent support during this time. When I wear them I feel no constrictions. Id like to give a huge shout out to the guys in the NYC store, as they are always excellent and made sure I knew how to properly break in these shoes. Thank you guys, and gal!
