Bellevues | DeVere [Noir Cachemire]

Disappointing - sending back - agree with Lisa from Brunei:

They were a little wide for my regularly sized foot, although I liked that they were a distressed black and cream. THe problem was the last - the foundation the shoe is on - is cheap and shoddy. The design is great, but there isn't any "craftsmanship": I think these are similar to something I could get at Payless.

In love

I tried these on today and have decided I need to save up a bit for them as they were made for me or so it felt. These are amazing and feel like a part of my foot. Especially happy to support a fellow Canadian

Divine!

These boots are decadent and beautifully crafted. The moment I slipped them on, I knew they had to be mine! I am a size 7, and they run true to size. They are extremely comfortable. My first night out in them, these boots turned heads, and received the admiration of both men and women, of all ages. Special thanks to Sean of the NYC store, she was incredibly helpful and a true Fluvogologist! This is my 12th pair of Vogs, my feet and I are in love with all of them!

My Favorites!

These boots are spectacular. I adore wearing them because they fit (please make more Bellevues!!) and are so eye-catching. They are both fashion-forward and timeless. Brilliant! Thank you and please - make more Bellevues!!!

Amazing

These boots just arrived on my doorstep and I could not wait to try them on. I was a bit worried about the size because I take a typical size 10 and some reviewers suggested that a 10.5 might be better, but I stuck with the 10 and they fit spot on. :-)

Disappointing

Never thought I'd use the word 'disappointing' in the same sentence as 'Fluevog' as every other pair I own (about 20) has been a sheer delight. These are so eye catching online and the stark difference between the black and white in the paisley makes them a real attention-grabber. When they arrived and I opened the box, though, they looked like either they were old and faded or the picture online had been radically colour-enhanced. They are still a stylish and comfy shape but the colour is dull and almost looks like faded grey rather than a b&w paisley.. Normally I get the usual "wow your shoes are amazing!" reaction to my Vogs but someone actually asked if I got these from the market!! and said they look cheap and shabby compared to my usuals! I would have returned them only there was a long saga with the post office in getting them and they were 4 months post-order by the time I received them so it was too late. I strongly advise checking them out in a store before purchase, to see if the colour does in real life what it does on screen. (-(

I'd been eyeing these shoes for several months now. And then they disappeared from the website and I despaired. I lamented and kicked myself for not giving in to the urge to purchase them. But with International Fluevog Day looming, I found myself on the website once more and while perusing the pages, I discovered the wonderful return of the Black Paisley Bellevues. I walked in to the Granville location yesterday (IF Day) and tried on the 8.5 heels. In non-Vog shoes I'm a 7.5 but given the other reviews I'd read and my wide feet, I went up a full size. These boots fit like a dream. They look amazing. They make me feel amazing. How do I wish I could wear them at work.

finally!

I wanted this boot in paisley since last spring when they first came out. Unfortunately, I missed the boat as the sizes flew off the shelves very quickly. So when I saw this boot being restocked (I admit to squeeing in delight. while at the office. yes, people looked) I made sure to call in for Toronto store to hold a pair for me. It's a great thing I had to go in, anyway, to return/exchange a pair of gorgeous red Fortunes (4" is just a little too high for me, for an every-day shoe) because once I started trying DeVeres on, I realised I would have to go down an entire size to 8.5 from my usual 9.5 in Fluevogs *and* other Bellevues, of which I have ahhh a few, let's just say. I have narrow feet and almost no instep to speak of, so maybe that's the reason. Even a 9 was too big and a little wider in the ankle than it should be. Long story short, I'm a happy happy owner of 8.5 DeVeres. As always delighted with the service I got at the Queen West store. Fourteen pairs and counting. What's next?

Love these sexy boots

I really wanted ( or so I thought ) the Wicked boots but my high arch would not make the turn in the ankle. Sad I roved the web site again looking for a brown boot and viola. Jill at the Granville store was awesome measuring them for me for the perfect fit. I got them, I HAD to wear them out that very night and I got stopped twice walking downtown in them. Love these boots, they are comfy out of the box and very stylish. I had to go up a whole size with my high arch and wide foot but they are very comfy. Now what pair to get next? Will be in the store at the end of April looking. :-)
