I was looking for something like this boot online when I first discovered the BBC boot in Brown. I was off to Montreal the next day to pick a pair up! On first impression, I was surprised that the boots didn't quite look as slick and weathered in person as they do here on the site. They looked muted. Softer. I quickly bought some mink oil ($6. Apparently beeswax or dubbin will do the trick too.) and slathered it all over them. Perfection! It really brought the character and the grit out of the leather. This is one badass boot! Sometimes Fluevog gets it so right. They appear thinner than they really are. If they can accommodate my super wide flipper feet, then they will also fit yours. Boots fit to size. A little snug at first, but the leather does loosen up in time as it is so soft.

Oh John Fluevog, how do I love thee??
These babies are the newest "chapter" in my long love affair with Fluevogs. They are wonderfully snug and supportive and look, dare I say, dainty, even on my size 11 feet. They look great with jeans. The only dilemma really is choosing between the black and brown - I chose the brown which has a great distressed, vintagey finish. I absolutely luuurve these boots!!
Tuned in, Turned on, and Vogged out!
A few weeks ago I went into the gastown store and immediately fell in love with these boots! I wasn't going to purchase anything that day, and I was going to put these on the "wishlist." However, once I tried them on, I didn't want to take them off. I tried the black ones on as they didn't have my size in the brown, but I knew I wanted the brown ones. I was going to wait for these to come in a few days, an maybe purchase them. I continued my day shopping around downtown, ended up at the opposite end of downtown when I got the phone call saying the boots had just come in. This was right around the end of they day, they had an hour before closing. My girlfriend and I booked it, we were practically running at times to get the store. We got there, and I bought them! My first pair of fluevogs. Saying I love the boots isn't even close to how I actually feel. They are comfortable, very stylish, and give you the greatest feeling when wearing them. I actually suggest buying them in a size that fits snug, these boots will stretch a bit and take on a perfectly comfortable mold to your feet! I could have written a 10 page essay about how great my visit to the store was and how awesome owning these boots has been, but I thought I would keep shorter. That is my first Fluevog story, I hope to have many more! Andrew

Rugged but also somehow dainty
This boot has a very close fit, and in the brown appears rugged yet also dainty. Not as much arch support as say the Coventrys, but comfortable. If you're a half size then you should definitely go up to the next bigger size.

and they DO fit!
I don't even remember how I found the Fluevog homepage, but when I saw those shoes, it was love on first sight. I WANTED them urgently. So I ordered them online, and as I was not sure about the size, I was advised by Amanda from a Canadian Fluevog Store (Gastown?) which size would fit my feet. This was service at it's best! I had so much fun writing with Amanda that I wish I could meet her for a coffee. When the shoes arrived, it was a hassle to get them from the customs, but they are worth every minute I had to wait there - I came home, opened the box and put them on my feet - and they fit! They were a bit snug for this very fist evening, but on the second day the seemed to have adjusted to my feet. Now I just wish there was a way to get another pair without paying the additional tax and waiting so long.

I was worried about the fit of these boots because they seem a little narrow in person, but they work even with my funky feet. To me, they feel a tad more roomy than the Warrens. The worst thing about these boots is deciding which color to buy! But the rugged/vintage appearance of the brown won over the classy appearance of the black. Remember, they're Fluevogs - you can get black everywhere else!
