En 1999, John Fluevog dessinait le légendaire talon à pied fourchu « Grand national ». Bien des années plus tard, pour commémorer ce fameux talon, John a créé le jumeau inversé en utilisant l'espace négatif du talon GN pour actualiser ce nouveau talon compensé radical. Avec des cuirs foncés luxurieux dans un motif de « vitrail », une doublure et des détails dorés, et un soupçon d'influence Bauhaus, la collection LA possède un talon de 6" moulé dans une manufacture italienne spécialisée dans les talons extrêmement hauts. Cette botte haute n'est pas pour celles qui ont le coeur faible, et est tout ce qu'une femme a de besoin pour avoir ce qu'elle veut. *Vêtements optionnels. Rise Above Earthly Restraints. Calf is cut sleek but generous enough to fit most. Definitely a 'statement' boot, but surprisingly walkable with hidden platform. Like wearing a work of art, the pieced leatherwork is amazing.

Diva boots!
I saw these in the sale section at the Gastown store in March and had to at least try them on. I'm over 40 so I wasn't too sure if I could pull them off, but oh, once I had them on, I had to have them. I danced around in them and didn't want to take them off!
They are surprisingly wearable and did NOT kill my feet. The balance is perfect - remember to trust the heel when walking. Love love love!
I am a true size 9.5 and the 9 fits perfectly.

Beautiful boots and very comfortable! I'm normally a size 6.5, but had to go to a 6 in these. They look a little overwhelming on the shelf, but once you put them on...fabulous! I pranced around the store in them and other customers seemed surprised how much they liked them! I love them!

These boots are unreal. Seriously. They're boots superheroes would fight each other to own and wear, and clearly designed by an all-powerful superhero bootmaker with a lair in a cave next to an underground waterfall. If wearing these boots doesn't make you feel like a superhero with effortless sex appeal, return them--you're not ready yet.
My big concern with these was wearability. Superhero cool aside, New York is brutal on shoes and feet, and the inverted wedge looked sleek and sexy, but not practical. Fortunately, once on you hit the hidden platform fast. The construction on the heel tips your weight forward onto the balls of your feet, cradled by the front platform, and so essentially you're wearing a classic pair of stilettos, just with a doubly supportive toe box. They're deceptively easy to walk in, though if you're mainly going to stand in them you'll need a break after a few hours.
The calf is generous, wide enough to zipper over thick denim skinny-jeans without problem. They're also made incredibly well--surgical cuts and stitching. They cost a lot, but they're clearly intended to be a long term investment. I couldn't be happier I made mine
