[Peachy White & Black]
Using soft leathers in high contrast colours, with perforated patterns of overlaid pieces that are then hand finished, The Etta Place captures a wild and wanted appearance. Satin laces, a 2.5" Fellowship-hi heel and a tunite Bellevue sole steady this sexy slingback to be sure your aim is true.
Named after the educated, sureshot companion and romantic counterpart to the infamous Sundance Kid, Etta Place still remains one of the greatest mysteries surrounding the last days of the Wild West. Along with Butch Cassidy, Etta Place and Sundance Kid were all known together as the Wild Bunch, robbing banks across the US before escaping authorities to Argentina. Etta Place became the first woman rancher in Argentina to own a large amount of land, where it seemed she and Sundance would finally settle down. After a few years, the legendary Pinkerton Detectives caught up with them, but before they could arrest them the local authorities tipped off the Wild Gang who then disappeared into Chile. Etta was seen a few years later in SF, and in NYC, but then returned to Argentina after Sundance's death in a Bolivian bank shootout. Although Etta was never seen again, there are rumours she settled down in Oregon, New Jersey, or married into great wealth in Paraguay. Wherever she rests now, we salute her tenacity to not only handle the greatest and most tumultuous romance of the Wild West, but to have the ability to completely evade the law as the 'Most Wanted Woman of the 19th century.'

A thing of beauty
These shoes slipped on and my feet fell in love. I broke my ankle years ago and since, Fluevogs are the only heels I feel stable enough to wear. I also have very wide feet and these accommodate them. I do have to break them in a little, but I couldn't be happier.

Bought these for my wedding in August and have been wearing them around the house to "break" them in... which is laughable because they feel like I'm wearing bunny slippers. Wicked shoes and I will probably be naughty and wear them before the big day!

Talk about wearing shoes against type!
Rachel in the Boston store turned me on to these when a friend I was with mocked me for my fondness for black shoes. I wasn't expecting to fall in love with the white ones, but once they were brought out for me to try on I could NOT resist taking them home! They fit true to size for me, which is basically 7.5. I would wear them all the time if I could!

Entirely Too Adorable
I had already made up my mind that Etta was my next pair of Fluevogs, and when I walked into the Haight store my friend pointed them out and said "These look like you!", so that confirmed it. I got them in black and I love the detailed colorwork and subtle ageing/shading to the leather. My true 7.5 fit snugly, the way I like it, but I got them in 8 so my heel wouldn't hang over the edge, often the case with a slingback. Very comfortable, I'm quite pleased, as always!

These are total beauties! The leather is very supple and comfy, with some really pretty color gradation towards the sole. I know they are going to age wonderfully - any little dings they come by will blend into the weathering they came with.
These fit me very true to size - of the eight pairs of Fluevogs I own, six pairs, including these are 7s. I can't wait to wear these out with a swing skirt. They're just made to be shown off.
