1611 First Avenue
In 1985 John opened his first US store, steps away from the Seattle Pike Place Market. Among the antique dealers, comic book sellers, fishmongers, local farmers, and small family-owned head shops operating in the covered arcades, John felt right at home in his new store. With just enough money to refit the space, John had to sell his car (a 1973 periwinkle blue E-type Jaguar) to stock his new location with fabulous Fluevogs. And with that, 1161 1st Avenue (and its stockroom across the street!) became the first John Fluevog store in the US and later paved the way for many more. Continuing the Fluevog heritage by using classic
partial blake construction with soles and uppers made from high-grain Italian leathers, the 1611 First Ave is a spats inspired boot for the classiest vintage look.

as soon as i saw them!
i knew i had to have them. beautiful leather & i enjoy the side split in the ankle, it allows for a lot more freedom of mobility which is good because they're a nice snug fit around the ankle. this my 5th pair of Fluevog's & i think the best fit so far! my 1611's seem to be very suitable for narrow flat feet like mine. this is my ideal versatile black boot as it can be dressed up or down but right now i favour them with my skinny jeans! i am going to have a rubber sole put on to protect them but also because the smooth leather soles are extremely slippery. thank you Mr.Fluevog for designing the black boot i always visualized for myself!
