Derby Swirl (5 Eye)
Almost 25 years ago John launched the first Angel-soled Fluevogs into the world! Since then Angels have been part of various social and fashion movements, and are often referred to as the most comfortable soles on the planet. The 7th Heaven Angel Soles add rubber to the mix, but you still get that amazing comfort that you're used to and they're still resoleable.
To celebrate the new 7th Heaven Angel Soles, John has produced a small run of the classic Derby Swirl Boot now in a 5 hole version for women, complete with leather lining and padded foot socks, in amazing colourways and patterns. Made in Europe, these 7th Heaven Derby Swirls still "resist alkali, water, acid, fatigue and Satan" and will turn every head along your journey. As it says on the iconic pull tab... DDFT!

This is my third pair of Derby Swirl's. The Aqua Lace is stunning....and I love colour....I was worried that the design might be a little plain for me. However the Granville Team explained the boot to me...I was sold. Not only stunning but unbelievably comfortable.

Super comfy boots!
Love love these boots! The leather is sturdy but very comfortable. Got the acid purple color and loved them so much I immediately ordered the acid green as well. They are more feminine-looking and comfortable than my Doc Martens - I am converted! They run true to size but perhaps a little bit short in the toe box - not enough to make me want to size up, but you may want a half size bigger if you like lots of room or want to wear wool socks with them. Wish I had enough room in the closet to get them in every colour!

I am still trying to process the fact that the Mini Qtees are discontinued (why would anyone stop making such an amazingly cool and comfortable shoe?!?!?!)... but, always game to try something new, I bought these in the acid green. The color in person is MUCH nicer than online: there is such vibrancy to the green, (pale) yellow, blue swirl design against the contrasting black of the laces and the sole. I was a bit concerned when I opened the box that they might be tight because the leather seemed so stiff. But nope! I got some socks, put the boots on and they fit like a charm. I have 8.5 in all the Fluevogs I have, and so I ordered these in 8.5 too. Good decision. They are comfy. I wore them to work that very day, and got lots of compliments: people do stop you and ask about these shoes (all the Vogs really). My feet felt secure and warm, and the sole is cushiony but sturdy. I don't know if I would want to run in them (I do run around a lot!), but I can certainly wear these walking up hill and down dale. And definitely the halls of work!

19 years old
My Angel Derby Swirls have defied Satan throughout Germany, Italy, Jordan, Syria, Israel, Spain, the UK and the US, as well as tramping their way through New Zealand. (There is no Satan to defy there, only orcs and sweet wee hobbits.) in 19 years they have only required, until lately, the soles to be re-glued back on. No repair was necessary. But now they must be replaced and I am in mourning. Why? The linings have rotted right through to the strong inner workings. Fair enough after such long and faithful service. Everything else about the boot is still in top condition. As they are still in production even after 19 years I can get more. But my local cobbler must pronounce them dead first. No other footwear has ever felt as good, as comfortable, as solid, as safe, as grounded to the earth.

Polka dot love
Best shoes ever. I hesitated buying the black polka dot derby swirls because hey, who wears polka dot shoes? I ended up taking the plunge and I ADORE these shoes. And to boot, I have not been able to wear them without receiving a compliment yet. Everyone loves the polka dots! Comfortable? Yes! Durable? Yes! Not much discomfort breaking them in, either. Fit right - I went up a half size and they are perfect. Highly recommended!!

Super cute but hurt my feet
I bought these boots in the purple polka dots and I just love the way they look. I am having a hard time breaking them in though - I will wear them for the day and by the time I'm on my way home I can barely walk. It's like my heels are on fire. I'm sure it's just because it's a tough leather but they are hurting so much. I don't know how to loosen them up.

Most comfortable sturdy Fluevog boot in my closet now!
I have operettas, minis, friends and rococo all for dressing up....and yes you can run a mile in minis! But being a hair artist I needed a pair of boots to replace an older pair from another brand. Well, let me tell you....these are solid and comfortable....the sole is ridiculously sturdy. I have the acid purple which is a sweet grey tone with pink! Perfect for all the grey in my wardrobe and my jeans! A little lower boot than my other combat worker boots in my wardrobe..but I think they will be an even better height for my 3/4 jeans and shorts too! Love love love them! I have and 8.5 reg width foot but sized up to 9.

Even better looking in person!
I bought a pair of the Derby Swirls (purple with white dots) for my wife and she is practically giddy. They look even more amazing in person than they do in photos, so if you are on the fence about that just go for it. You won't be disappointed.
She says they fit pretty true to size, with good heal-to-toe room, though they are a bit tighter towards the footpad. That will probably get better as the boot is broken in.
What do you suggest she do for weather proofing?

I love the look of these boots and am looking for a practical boots which will help me walk with confidence in winter(ice and snow) and not too heavy. I also have a narrow foot and wear thick socks to compensate. Shall I try a pair?????
