Everytime John visits our factories in Portugal, he is stunned by how fast the radio DJ's chatter is on Radio RTP (Rádio e Televisão de Portugal). Using rough, aged Italian leathers with a hip-cat turned up waxed toe for that burned and tarred look, the RTP will be an instant Fluevog classic. Featuring a strap and buckle on the instep, and industrial zippers on both sides of the calf allow for maximum wear of style, trend, and calfsize. Walkable tunite soles with a resoleable soft rubber topy, the RTP brings you the comfort and chic directly from Portugal to your feet in a flash. Tune in, Turn on, and Vog out!

Customer service advised on fit and were totally accurate, which was great as they had to be shipped overseas untried. I'm usually a 9.5 but the 10s fit perfectly. The purple colour is amazing with jeans and the boots are super comfortable. The boots zip up easily on both sides over jeans which is great as my previous foray into vog boots ended in tears after they could not accomodate my non-birdlike calves. My only worry now is stopping my friends from stealing them...

Great boots. Need soles.
I bought these boots in Vancouver in 2010. They're comfortable and the length of the boot works well for the vertically challenged among us. However, I don't understand why the boots didn't come with a sole. After I'd bought them, the salesperson warned me that I'd have to pay a shoe-maker to put a proper sole on the boots if I wanted to wear them outside more than a couple of times! On top of that, the inside zipper on one of the boots broke after wearing it occasionally for six months and I had to get that fixed as well. All in all, not the most durable of my Fluevogs.

Too beautiful for buyer's remorse
I bought these on a whim, in purple, during the recent 33% off special at an online store that carries Fluevogs. As I've been saving for a pair of Adriana Lunas, I soon felt remorse, but it was too late to cancel the order. I fully intended to return them as soon as they arrived. However.....they were so gorgeous, and felt so good (after adding a pair of my Superfeet Easy Fit 3/4 insoles, because the insoles on these are completely flat and I need some arch support)....well, I wore them around the house for an hour, decided to keep them, and this decision was even more confirmed by the subsequent "walk the dog for a mile in them" test. They fit my calves with the outside zipper closed, but it's fun to vary for different looks. I take an 8.5 - 9 in all shoes, including Fluevogs....maybe because my feet are narrow, I don't need to go up a size like many other people. The 9s in these fit perfectly.

love love love
I tried these on in Montreal in June and fell in love, but alas, spent my money on sandles instead. Tried them on again in Seattle, but alas, did not have my size/color combo....
Finally, while on vacation, passed through Vancouver and welcomed the last pair in Canada in my size into my Fluevog family. I needed to go a size up for these. Comfy right out of the box and gorgeous with about anything you can imagine to wear with them!

These are gorgeous in the purple color! I love, love, love these boots. So comfortable and so fun to be able to unzip on both sides - great boot if you have a bit wider (athletic) calf.

Perfect for Plus Size!!
Fluevog knee boots that work for my plus-size calves... HALLELUJAH and thank you for listening!!
The dual zippers on these are genius, and leaving them unzipped on one side some or all the way makes for a gorgeous look for my wide calves. It looks intentional and part of the design. Thanks so much to Petrea from the NYC store for suggesting them!
Bonus, they're SO comfortable! I spent my first day in them walking several miles and they didn't even need to be broken in.

I picked up these boots today at the Queen West store - like all my other fluevog boots, these are beautiful, unique and comfortable. Thanks, John!

Beautiful...but not the quality I expect
I (almost) love everything about these boots...
Pros: beautiful subtle shade of purple, comfortable, look great, just funky enough.
For the money (and the name), I expect the quality to be tip-top. However, I found the interior zipper to be cheap and doesn't function properly. Also, the spot where the leather attaches to the sole appears to be sloppily finished. I fear that my planned use (several days/week and to outdoor festivals) will split them at that seam. My husband has two pair from this family, and his don't appear to have the "seam" issue. While I want to rock these boots, I do not think they are worth the money. (:`(

Hi Missy, please bring your boots by the SF store and they can take a good look at your boots. It's possible it is a factory defect.

Great addition to my closet!
Admittedly, I am a boot girl. Tall, short, flat, heel, winter, summer, I own 'em all. Saw these boots and had to have them. Wonderful addition to my wardrobe - they are super comfortable and go with everything. They are different and unique and I get a ton of wear out of them. So happy with the purchase and you will be to!

Poor construction = sore feet!
Disappointed with these boots! They certainly look great, but there are bumps on the inside of the boots where the straps are attached that rub against the ankles, as well as a raised line of stitching on top of these bumps that cause the rubbing to be even worse. For this price, I expect the boots to be much better constructed! Save your money; your feet will thank you. :-|
