This youthful 2.5" heeled mid-calf boot was inspired by Mirella Freni, one of Italy's most respected opera singers of the 20th century. Mirella was known for her beautiful voice and dedication to Bel Canto, a vocal style used in the 18th century. With soft Baccarat Patent leathers, two buckled straps around the calf, soft rubber soles, and a leather wrapped heel, this boot is sure to be a Fluevog favourite. Your Love Makes Me Sing.

great shoe, poor heel
I love these boots- they took zero time to break in and are super comfortable. And yellow is simply fantastic. However, I've had them for about 6 months and am about to take them in for the second time to replace the heel (just the rubber part). They wear through so fast- and I only wear them about once a week! I practically live in my Mini Sugars and only get the heels on them done once a year.

Quite disappointed with my boots really... each time I wear them there's a chip of yellow going off. I love my boots! they're gorgeous, extremely comfortable and I always get compliments... every time! But the paint is no good. Sucks to pay 500$ for a pair of boots your afraid to wear! So there you go. I don't think they're worth that much. Sorry... (-(
These awesome boots hit mid-calf, and are exquisitely made. They are pretty comfy right out of the box, but they feel like they could use some extra padding at the front of the foot, so I am getting some inserts. I bought my first pair of Fluevogs 10 years ago to run around Italy on my honeymoon, and this pair is going to be doing the same for our 10 year anniversary:)

Let it snow!
I bought these boots in red at the Toronto store on a hot and humid August day. I then went home and tried them on with half my wardrobe - they go with everything! I have never wished so hard for it to, become cold and snowy in southern Ontario in September. Absolutely gorgeous, ridiculously comfortable.
This is pair #3 - I wish my Fluevogs would breed in my closet. ,-)

Unfortunately for me, I live in a Fluevog-free zone. Anyway, I found myself in Seattle for a business trip and, after my meeting, made the very necessary pilgrimage to the Seattle store. Laura was super helpful and amazingly patient as I tried on, oh, pretty much everything. I've got several pairs of Operattas and had been eyeing these beauties on the website. They're perfection in a boot. I had to have them. They're snug in the calves, but I've been wearing them around the house to stretch them out. (Funny how comfy shoes makes tidying up less dull.) They're stretching nicely and now I just need it to not be 90 degrees so I can wear them out of the house.

I first tried these sexy beasts on while on a trip to Seattle. They didn't have my size in the store (I went up a whole size) so they offered to order them for me and ship them to me. Me being a stubborn brat and wanting what I want NOW, I declined. I must have been PMSing or something - what an idiot! So, 9 months later, the little bundle of joy arrived on my door step for my birthday! Hooray! The color, the comfort, the style, are all so HOT! Love them. I want them in red, too, please. (that was a request). Cheers!

Go anywhere, do anything boots
I got these in black and they are incredibly versatile boots. Kind of quiet and unassuming, but very, very flattering. You can wear them in ice and snow, running errands in and out all day and indoors all evening hanging out with your family and friends. The perfect choice for anyone who wants a boot that will work in any situation.
They feel like you're wearing sturdy, comfortable running shoes yet they look so stylish. Calf boots definitely make your legs look longer and leaner and these are no exception. Mirella has a steady spot in my boot rotation.

It is damn comfortable .. my 1st fluevog
These are my 1st fluevog. I bought them online after browsing .. browsing ..waiting and waiting. Finally, I decided to buy it online and when it came ,tried them on ..wow!!!it is sooo damn comfortable, sexy and stylish. People also asked where to get them. I think this is really brilliant ...I move up and down and I cant believe how comfortable it is.
Fluevog .. you are genious! ,-)
how sexy are these? pretty DAMN sexy!!
Since I live in the middle of the prairies and unfortunately I can't just saunter on down to the closest Fluevog, I was left drooling at them online UNTIL I found the amazing Huda, the angel behind Eveline Street and the woman responsible for bringing Fluevogs to us living in the middle of nowhere! I walked in thinking that I knew what I wanted and she convinced me to try the operetta Mirella (in RED..perfect for a redhead whose nickname has been red for a long time!) and I couldn't take them off! They fit over my sturdy Polish calves (yay!) and calf boots are way more sexy than I could have imagined. I get nothing but compliments on these boots and they make me feel like a strong confident and sexy woman! For a girl with wide feet, they are plenty roomy and surprisingly, I upsized from my usual 9 to a 10 and my feet look compact and not huge. The perfect boot? Oh hell yes! xo

My fantastic calves beat YOURS
First of all, all you other lovely reviewers who claim to have big calves, I got ya beat! I could not zip these beautiful babies up when they arrived in the mail, and I was terrified. Even with gc's these boots are a hefty chunk out of the paycheck.
My email from a few days previous had been answered by the lovely Shawn at L.A. Fluevog, and I think he was the one I talked to on the phone as well, when I called about my failure to zip. He calmed my shaking nerves, and assured me that with the proper (simple) treatment, my boots would stretch comfortably within a week. It hasn't even taken a week, and they are forming beautifully! They look great, and I can't wait to wear them out.
P.S. Not as yellow as they look in the photos, more deep mustard than bright canary yellow. Still HOT @>-
