Earl of Warwicks |
A unisexy, handmade boot produced in one of Mexico's best cowboy boot factories, using their own tough leather built upon a thick, sturdy leather sole and a 1 stacked leather heel, this boot is quickly going to be a Fluevog favorite. A mid calf lace up boot with an instep buckle strap, is perfect for wailing on your Telecaster, riding your Triumph motorcycle, or politely declining the Queen's hand in marriage. This boot is unisex, available from W6 to a M13, whole sizes only.

All comments regarding sizing are correct-size down. I wear a 9 in most everything else and the 8 in these are perfect-with room for a thicker pair of tights or socks. These are BY FAR my favourite Fluevogs and my favourite boots, in general. There will be no reason to purchase another pair of boots-ever! Okay, maybe not...!! ,-)

Oh man...... I have been lusting after these boots for months... When I found out about the Fluevog sample sale at the Gastown location I was optimistic I would be able to find something. Unfortunately I came up empty-handed. Nothing in my size in Women's, only a few things in Men's. So the next day I went to the Granville location and finally tried on the Coventry boots. They only had them in brown, which although the girl at the Gastown location said the Granville store only had them in black, I was secretly wanting the brown ones to begin with.
The fit......... They are pretty much made for my feet, they do not pinch or rub anywhere. Since they are lace-ups I can wear a nice wool sock and just choose to leave the top two lace holes undone so they fit better. They are also very versatile as I wore them with a dress and leggings yesterday, and skinny jeans tucked into the boot with a wool sock today.
I will definitely be returning to get the rubber cover on the sole though. I have worn them twice (3 hours yesterday, and 40 minutes today) and I can tell the sole will not last long without the rubber covering. Any rocks or gravel will easily chip away at the sole and then they will likely have to be completely redone. Luckily it is what the girl at the store recommended to me anyway to ensure they are not so slippery. These are my second pair of fluevogs, and considering my first are knee-high boots with an Angel sole, I didn't anticipate the sole of the Coventry's being affected by average walking so quickly.
Apparently they are discontinuing this style, so get them while you can!

Just wore these for the first tie today...and wore them ALL day without any soreness. The leather is like butter and they are so pretty but not Girly. I went with the size 5, since these are unisex and I usually take a 7 1/2. They are roomy but not big. Fanfreakintastic

These boots are incredibly comfortable; I have literally walked miles in them without a problem. They go great with skinny jeans, skirts, dresses...whatever! I own the a pair in brown, and I just love how malleable the leather is. I've gotten a ton of compliments while wearing these! Fluevogs are so pricey, but after you buy your first pair, you'll be hooked. They are the most unique, sexy, and comfortable shoes around.

Love, love these boots!!
Many thanks once again to the awesome staff at the Calgary store. After reading the reviews and calling the store, I had a size 8 in the black held for me. I was quite dubious as I never take an 8..ever..until these beauties made their way into my life. I so love these. I just may have to make room for the brown version in my closet! Size down peeps...it's true.

Although the black Coventry boots were love at first sight for me, last Fluevog Day I chose to take home another pair. It took one whole year of lusting, of constantly going back to see them in the shop, of handling them (and maybe smelling them a little) before I tried them on. Oh. My. Trying them on for the first time felt like they never had left my feet. Why did I wait so long? They are the ultimate pair of badass boots, looking good with jeans or with dresses or skirts. I predict my other Fluevogs (and maybe my Frye's) will get jealous pretty soon...
Regarding to size, I usually wear a 39 (US 8.5), and these fit almost too perfectly in a women's 8 (men's 6).

I can't tell you how much I love these! I sold 10 pairs of rarely worn shoes and boots on ebay this season then bought 3 pairs of Vogs! Two of "Frankie" in both black and brown and THESE!! I don't miss a single pair of the 10 others I let go (Fryes, Trippens, Campers etc)
I love these SO much, there is nothing you can wear that these will not make instantly cool!
You will be fearless and strong in these always! :-) ()-)

I got these as an early Christmas gift, and they are FANTASTIC. So comfortable, so hot, and so badass! I already had a pair of the montagu, but these are even better. Hands down my fave out of four pairs of vogs. BIG shout out to the Boston store crew, they are the coolest!

Didn't think I'd ever use those two words to describe the same thing, but these shoes are absolutely sexy and absolutely comfy. My my, I used to be a Frye's Boots/shoes girl and I am now thoroughly a Fluevog girl. This weekend I'm actually working at selling all my Fryes, they just seem so uncomfortable compared to my Fluevogs!!! I'm usually around a 7.5, so I went with a 7 in this shoe and it fit like magic. No break in period whatsoever, I wore them for a full day the first time and it was wonderful! Amazing boots!!!
