This youthful 2.5" heeled mid-calf boot was inspired by Mirella Freni, one of Italy's most respected opera singers of the 20th century. Mirella was known for her beautiful voice and dedication to Bel Canto, a vocal style used in the 18th century. With soft Baccarat Patent leathers, two buckled straps around the calf, soft rubber soles, and a leather wrapped heel, this boot is sure to be a Fluevog favourite. Your Love Makes Me Sing.

I was lucky enough to score the last pair of my size in black. I have many pairs of Operettas--they all fit like a dream. I run around all day at work, and my feet are as comfortable as when I'm wearing sneakers. I'm glad to say these boots are exactly the same! I'm usually a size 9 medium, no special issues, and the 10s fit like a glove. I have thin calves and ankles, and these boots are perfect. I LOVE THESE! Thanks as always to the Seattle crew. You guys rock! @>-

I bought these in Burgundy this fall, with the first paycheck from being re-employed, and I'm so glad I did. They're my go-to ass-kicking boots, the ones that remind me that I'm a free woman, with funk and soul. They're ridiculously comfortable - I can even play tag with my kids in them - and they look fantastic.

These are my favorite shoes hands down. The heels do wear down quickly, but it's worth it because they don't feel like 2.5" at all.
I have the yellow ones and get compliments all the time. I used to wear them on days when I had to grade organic chemistry exams for 12 hours straight and they always cheered me up.
Also, they enabled me to finally dress as my favorite superhero Rogue this year. That alone would have made them worth it. Thanks. Make some more of the burgundy ones, I would totally buy a second pair. ()-)

These boots are mustardy yellow perfection -- they go with everything and grab attention, both at once. I am obsessed.
One note: at first they were hard to fit over my calves, but a lot of persistence and a couple of wears later, and they zip easily.

Flat Footed Soul Finds Perfect Boot
I have flat wide feet, so the idea of the 2.5 Operetta heel scared me. I am usually not able to go to the heel party on Vogs. But I went to the NYC store and tried these burgundy bad boys on and OMG. I tend to be a 9-9.5, and I definitely needed the extra toe box spaceof the 9.5. Also, these boots were initially tight in the calves, but after wearing them everywhere--the leather relaxed around my calves like butter. Like butter I tell you. What can't you wear this boot with? I've worn them with skirts, pants--both over and under. Comfortable and sexy. I am definitely ordering another pair in black.
I promise your legs will look tres sexy in these boots! Love 'em.

I love these boots. I have super skinny legs, so the lighter calf actually works well for me. One complaint, and this is a real complaint...we are in a recession, and it is serious. I'm sorry, but these are just SO expensive, that I feel bad for buying them sometimes. (:`(

These are my 10th pair of Fluevogs and I am so happy with them! I just had a baby and was looking for boots with a little height but still comfortable. Also they needed to be sturdy as I would be holding a little one and have traction as I live in New England. The last item on my list of must haves was they had to be fashionable - a pretty tall order and harder to find than you might think. I should have started looking at Fluevog because these were exactly what I wanted and so fab @>-

These are the best, most comfortable, boots I have ever owned. I wear them everyday the weather lets me. They are sturdy and beautiful. The heal is a great low height, I can wear them thru the entire day and night with out any discomfort. My favorite is wearing them with a cute skirt and tights to show them off, but I also love how the burgundy peeps out from beneath jeans and pants.
I am completely in love with these Mirellas- I find my self shopping for clothing that will accentuate them.

my go-to boots
I got my light brown leather pair at the sample sale (read Fluevog heaven) in 2010: They are my 5th Fluevogs. These boots are incredibly versitile, comfortable and stylish. In the size 7, they are nice and snug in the calf, but a little too loose in the toe (so I wear inserts with them). These are my go-to boots, they are easy to wear, airy and still comfortable at the end of a long day in them. Unlike some of my other Vogs, I don't get the head turning compliments (I am sure the Yellow pair would garnish those though), but they get my award for my best all-rounders.

I'd been looking for another pair of tall boots, and went into the Seattle Fluevog store convinced I was going to get a different pair. But after trying them on, I was hooked. They are crazy comfortable and fit very true to size. A bit snug around my calves, but stretching out nicely. The height of the boot is awesome - makes your legs look longer and leaner. Who needs pilates when you have these boots? And the burgundy color is GORGEOUS! A perfect shade between purple, red and brown that goes with just about everything. This is my 3rd pair of Vogs and I want more!
