Gateways: Notting Hill
Although it isn't a gate anymore, the Notting Hill Gate is one of the main thoroughfares in Kensington, and gets its name from the tollbooth that once resided there. Now Notting Hill Gate is home to a variety of stores, restaurants,
cafés, historic cinemas, and specialist shops that focus on everything from rare records to
Inspired by antique military riding boots, John was drew up designs for a simple, knee high boot with gorgeous buttery Italian leathers. Using 19th century traditional methods, The zip-up Notting Hill Boots feature leather soles, leather heel lifts, and a timeless almond toe
shape. Legend has it that on rare starry evenings, one can hear the ghost of Jimi Hendrix jamming near the flat he passed away in, making sweet music from the pearly gates.

I just received these in a size 6 in black. First pair of Fluevog. My vog cherry has been popped.
These particular shoes run a bit small even though I wear a standard 6. It took a bit of struggle to get them on, but you know how it goes with glass slippers. The shaft of the boot also has a bougie fit, narrow. It would be nice if there were a placket behind the zipper to cushion against the leg.
They will take some breaking into, but will be worth the look.

These boots are truly awesome!! I ordered the last of the yellow brown, in a half size longer than normal. I am wearing a size 12 in the Adrians so thought they might work. However, they were too long, but fit in the width. They run narrow! They did have a funny pouch down by the base of the zipper on the right foot almost like a flaw or something. I had to return them and got the agnes that I had been drooling over for ever. Got the last one in my size fingers crossed hope they work!! ]:o)

Love these boots!
Bought these at Calgary Fluevog in yellow brown last year. They are gorgeous pair of shoes, simple & elegant design, & comfortable for all day walking. Warning: foot area fits narrow so can't wear thick socks in winter.

Definitely worth the wait!
I too have looked for a pair of boots like this for a long time. I originally ordered a full size larger as was suggested in the reviews but so disappointed when they arrived and they were huge. A quick trip to Montreal to exchange the boots for a smaller size was not a problem...staff was friendly and helpful, with great advice on buying the boots tight as they are perfect after one wearing.

Pure. Buttery. Joy.
I am absolutely over the moon! These boots are my first Fluevog purchase (although I have been an admirer for years), and they did not disappoint.
The sizing worked out beautifully thanks to the other comments on this page: I am usually a size 9 and the 10 fit perfectly, even for my very narrow feet.
I knew these shoes would be amazing and soft and beautiful, but...WOW. I may not leave my house until spring, when I can wear these babies out the door.

tricky LA staff
I was very excited about these boots and then they arrived. The left boot is great. The right boot has deep gauges and scoff marks on it. You could be blind and you would feel the difference between these boots. I want to say shame on you Los Angles, but instead I will say "well played." You couldn't sell these damaged boots in the store, so you tricked me. You lost my business.

I LOVE love love these boots. They are a bit different than the other Fluevogs that I own in that they are a bit simpler in style. Still get tonnes of compliments on them - on their sleekness and perfect fit.
I usually wear a 6 but had to get these in the 6.5. Luckily I have small ankles so the boots just fit over them. I loved them so much I go the black and the brown. Nice work John ]:o)

Love these boots!
These are truly the boots of my dreams. But they do run a size small: caveat emptor!

riding boot *perfection*
i LOVE riding boots. since prematurely losing my favorite basic black riding boots i have been diligently looking for a suitable replacement the last two autumns, scouring stores, online, even making it my objective last october in NYC... to no avail. yes, i am a little picky...i don't like too much embellishment and i want boots that are a good quality leather to last through at least a few alberta winters.
THESE ARE THE BOOTS! i randomly wandered into the new fluevog store here in calgary, more for curiosity and saw these gems and fell in love.
yes, they were initially pretty tight in the calves but they stretched to fit just right after a single wear. they are gorgeous with skirts, and cute with jeans. don't let their simplicity of design fool you, these boots may seem basic in style but they ooze charm. i have had many looks and compliments wearing these babies.
**note: the glossy thick italian leather is prone to marking but a quick buff with a microfibre cloth (recommended by the cobbler at my shoe repair place for a scant $2 - plus i had him put on sole/grips for winter) and all marks just buff away.
...as the title says... riding boot *perfection*. looking forward to a long and beautiful relationship.

These are the boots I've been (kind of impatiently) waiting for...Versatile, Practical, Understatedly Stylish, and Comfortable. I usually wear a 7 - the salesperson said they run small and yes, an 8 is perfect. Congratulations, John ~ Another winner. Thank You ]:o)
