AWESOME SANDAL

After drooling over this sandal since it was introduced I finally broke down and purchased them for a trip that I was going on. When they came in the mail, it was snowing, but I tore the box open and they were everything and them some that I expected them to be. I should of purchased my normal 7 sandal size, but I went up to the 8 because of my fat foot. They are a little long, but who cares, it's all about the look and these sandals have them. Did I mention that I'm an old lady and I still rock these sandals. They are for any age. Enjoy...

Don't do it!

(:-& Beautiful but dumb! Walking in these is like walking in ice skates, without the ankle support. And the top leather stretches, so the foot sloshes around. And the wood chips in the front. And "John" will NOT take them back.

Mad bad and dangerous to know

I kid you not, I dreamt about these shoes in more than occasion... when they went on sale I knew I had no other option than to get them. I'm usually always a 7 but for these (floral print) I actually went for 8. They are crazy fun and I love the extra 4" of hight they give me, but they are somewhat dangerous. Uneven ground - forget it, I'd rather go barefoot. On average day of wearing them I stumble once or twice, and I'm pretty used to platforms. BUT having said that, I still love them and don't regret buying them. But as previous reviewers have said, they're not easy summer clogs, they're not everywhere shoes.

I really only wear nothing but Fluevogs, as not only are they fabulous, but they fit my wide feet. I ordered these lovelies as an anniversary present, but was very sad when they arrived, as they were super narrow. Even if I would have ordered a size up, it was obvious that my foot was wider than the base. So, if you have a wide foot, steer clear of these.

Wonder-ful and Care-ful!

I second Anne's comment about these being gorgeous but precarious. I have been wearing them around my apartment to get used to the height and I walked around a corner I fell over in the shoes. Do not shift your weight to the outer part of my foot even slightly. :-O The leather is buttery-soft however and they feel wonderful on the foot. I can't wait to wear them this summer, but with all of the hills and uneven ground in my neighbourhood, these will be for sitting and sauntering.

Flower power!!

I just had to have these fabulous clogs in the floral design, it is such a gorgeous pattern. So I was lucky enough to get a pair in which the purple chrysanthemums plastered the entire shoe in a fairly symmetrical way, giving the shoes an almost matching look. Thanks to the wonderful people at Fluevog New York! They fit great, although I did find myself a bit wobbly at first, but I am getting a more used to them and not wobbling as much. So anyway, now I am seriously lusting after these in black ...

CRAZAAAY~AWESOME~COOL!!!

I am in LOVE with a pair of shoes...!!! (don't tell my husband..shhhhh...) I had a really FUN journey to my Half Moon Arc Clogs. First, I found them here ~ online. Couldn't believe I had found MY shoes. MINE, I tell ya!! I grew up in the 70's and had my own pair of wooden clogs at the tender age of ten, which I wore PLUM OUT, by the way. They were part of my "hippyette" style, paired with my cut-off Levi's and flouncy butterfly-sleeved summer tops. I missed them! So...fast-forward to Fluevog crazy clogs ~ had to bring 'em home to Mama. So, when my daughter traveled up to Manhattan this month we made it an EVENT. She took the subway up to Nolita and walked to the epic corner of Prince/Mulberry, walked in and asked for THE SHOES. They were waiting for her! (Flashing forward to the airport) My DD presents THE SHOES to me at baggage claim and I take a seat to put them on..next to an older Indian traveller, who was FASCINATED by the artistry of these shoes, too! I got them on..walked a few feet (marvelling at how easy they were to walk in), and found that I had a small crowd gathering about...asking about these amazing shoes! Someone even asked if I would sell them. ha! right. Anyhow ~ the consensus in Houston and Galveston (within my earshot) is like me: gotta have these shoes!!! I am constantly being stopped by ladies AND men asking about your gorgeous clogs. And may I say, WELL DONE and THANK YOU for the quintessential pair of flower clogs in the world!! (walking like a supermodel to the beat of her own funky drum..) :-D

Comfy and chic but precarious

I've been buying Fluevogs since the early 90s and will continue as long as they keep making them! These look beautiful on, true to size, very chic and comfily padded for all-day wear. However, they're somewhat top-heavy in the design, making them prone to tipping over if the walking surface is even slightly uneven -- and I say this as an extreme platform devotee who has no trouble navigating wet lawns and flights of subway stairs in my 6" LA Silverlakes, which have better balance than these clogs. I'm still making them my go-to summer shoes, but they're not quite the carefree solid platform they looked like in ordering online. They wear more like a party shoe -- a traditional high high heel -- in terms of the care and restraint required in walking, and that's a bit of a downer in a platform clog. I do still love them though -- I want to display them as art when I'm not wearing them, but then again, I feel that about all my Vogs. Happy I bought them; they'll get many years of use.

Retro Sexy & Comfortable

After seeing the preview of these, I knew I had to have them. They are very reminiscent of the clogs from the Fox & Fluevog days, only more user-friendly. Being only 5'4" I love the height these give me without a "high" heel pain. They stand 4" tall, but the 2.5" platform means the heel "angle" is only 1.5" In addition, the insole is padded, and the there is enough leather going over the top of your foot to keep it firmly in the shoe, plus the non-slip rubber tread bottom. Yes, I very well may break my ankle trying to get used to my new-found height, but walking/wearing the Halfmoon is very comfortable. I'm not a fan of florals, so I bought these in black. I would love to see them in purple or blue, and maybe a closed-toe version with a sling back. Size: True to size. I usually have to size up a half to a full size in Fluevogs, but not with these. If you are a half-size, I'd suggest sizing down.
