True friends make you laugh through the tough times, but without losing the sincerity of the moment. John designed The Connie Shoe to stand the test of time, and reliably be both the master of fun and professionalism. This classic oxford is inspired by the hip and stylish Connie who always knows the best time to lighten the air with her dynamic smile. With a natural toe shape, rubber sole with workboot-like traction, a brogued design, and 1.25" stacked leather heel, The Connie is perfect for hanging out with your best friends. Fellowship is encouraging words... said in faith.
The Spring 12 Connie features a soft, matte leather with two different sized perforations for the ultimate ventilation, with no heel cup (now elasticized) for a lighter, casual fit. The Fall 11 Connie features rugged, oiled and aged Atlas leathers.

The Best of a Vog
I mail order all my Vogs, and postage back and forth when shoes don't fit is frustrating and expensive. So I'm very glad I called Chicago and asked about the fit based on other reviews. I'm a 6.5 in Wearevers... a 7.5 in the Connie. That's not a "small fit." That's an unfortunate manufacturing error in sizing.
That said, they shipped a 7.5 and these shoes are simply amazing. I stand on concrete all day.. the leather settles in and it is all day comfort. I farm.. the rubber sole goes out into the barn without missing a beat. This is one comfortable, reliable, and amazing shoe. If I had the money I'd order a second pair just so I could rotate them back and forth.
But then my other Vogs would feel rejected and jealous.

I saw these burgundy beauties online and had been coveting them for weeks, until I got the Sale email. I made a bee-line to the store straight from work! These shoes are wonderful: solid and comfy, sensible but oh-so-stylish. They are the sort of shoes that will be there for you no matter what. And the delicious colour really makes me smile!
The rubber sole is a bit curved and springy, it sort of rolls with your step - nice. The distressed waxed leather oozes with character. And they felt like my feet belonged in them from the very first step.
NOTE: These run small for Vogs! I am a ladies' 10 / unisex 8 in all my other pairs (this is #5) but with these I needed a 10.5. They are also a tad narrow but that is perfect for me. Thanks again John!

I got those beautiful and comfortable shoes in brown/black. At first, they run a bit small since my foots are very large (I usually wear size 6.5 or 7 and I got a 7). After few days they are ok. I could walk with them for hours, I particularly like the inside 'structure' of this shoes. They are my first pair of Flat from Fluevog (but my 5th overall...) and I am very happy !

I've been eyeing Fluevogs for about four years (when I saw them in the first issue of Twist Collective and completely ignored the socks in favor of the shoes). I'd thought about going to the Melrose store several times, but always talked myself out of it.
Finally, a few weeks ago I went to the store, and walked out with these brown and black beauties. They broke in completely in two days, but three weeks later they're still getting more comfortable - thanks, John!
A note on the size: I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 in most shoes, but I have these in a 9. (For comparison, Viardots are perfect for me with no tights, and a little bit too big with them, in an 8.)

:-) Today I received my ConnieShoe in burgundy. thanks John for making a shoe after me. The discription fits me perfectly. They look just like the picture. The fit is very true to size. They will look amazing with jeans or pants. They are very comfortable...and no breaking in needed. But then again when have we ever needed to break in our Vogs. A hug thank you to Jaik in the Grandville store in Vancouver for all of his help. I even have the Moira boot that is not yet pictured in brown...amazing. Oh and not that I ever wear my shoes out in rain, snow ect....the soles have wonderful grips. ,-)
