L'inspiration originale derrière la chaussure Guide vient de la fois où John se dirigeait au studio de conception Fluevog pour une réunion et fut confronté par une Guide cherchant à vendre ses biscuits. John, se sentant généreux (et affamé), décida d'acheter plusieurs boîtes de ces délicieux biscuits (on ne connaît toujours pas le chiffre exact), pour les offrir à ses employés dévoués et travaillant. Pendant sa marche, la faim le vainquit, et il a commencé à manger joyeusement. En premier, la boîte menthe et chocolat... ensuite celle des biscuits à la noix de coco... et puis une autre boîte... Par le temps où John arriva au studio, il constata qu'il avait mangé tous les biscuits. Il jeta les boîtes et détruisit toute évidence de ce qui s'appelle désormais « Le grand massacre des biscuits ». Malheureusement pour John, l'histoire fut dévoilée pendant la réunion où tous remarquent sa cravate remplie de miettes de biscuit.
Souriant en pensant à la leçon inestimable qu'il a apprise ce jour-là, John dessina une chaussure pour femme séduisante avec un cuir épais et souple d'une surface perlée, des boucles signées Fluevog, une plateforme cachée faite de liège recyclé, le tout sur une semelle tunite avec une adhérence en caoutchouc. We walk everywhere in NYC and these are the best walking shoes...ever! I bought the blue in a size 6, I'm usually a 6.5 -- the half size down is a perfect fit. Run, don't walk and pick up a pair, you will not be disappointed. All the colors offered are neutral and will go with anything. I want one in every color.

a surprise is the best prize
I went to the new-ish Calgary store to spend my TOP 15 WINNER gift certificate yesterday! The staff there convinced me to try these on, and they actually are so comfortable. The platform makes it seem like there is no heel, and I wore them all day... got lots of comments during the rest of my shopping. My new favorites for sure! happiness is a vog-clog
I bought the Ask Response in orange last year for my birthday and this year it was the blue Prepare Guide. I love both these shoes...I wear them both to work with my reserved slacks and sweaters. I wear them both with rolled up cargos after work.
The Guides - I love love these shoes. I had written a suggestion to JF at one point to bring out a winter Prepares bootie. And today I see the Merit and I want it in both colors. I opted for the black first because it's a good basic with skirts and black tights but that burnt orange is calling me for my next purchase. Vaaaalll-irie.
PS. just had the protective soles replaced on my Ask clogs and even the cobbler admired them.

So comfy!
Went to check out the new Calgary store with some friends, just to look of course. Saw these and fell in love. They fit so well I HAD to buy them! I normally wear a 5 1/2 but the 6 with a nice insole are a dream!! And they stayed comfy all day on the first wearing. I wear them everywhere and I get more compliments on them than anything else in my wardrobe. :-)

The Guide happened to be my introduction to Fluevog. OMG, they fit like glove, feel like Nike and attract attention on each corner. I have them in the blue color, and I ride in them my Scooteretti e-bike to work - they are comfy for my ride and very feminine and sexy when I am off the scooter. These two purchases made my summer very special, thank you Fluevog and Scooteretti.

...to ask about these shoes. I own many pairs of Fluevogs, and the Prepare Guide is one of my all time favorites. I was lucky to buy a pair in blue before they ran out, but they would look great in any color. They fit true to size, are comfy to walk in, and never fail to get compliments.

I LOVE these comfy and super funky shoes. I'm new to the Fluevog sensation and am so happy to have found you! I wasn't able to wear heels comfortably before meeting you. THANK YOU for changing my life! I will never ever wear cute yet uncomfortable shoes again. When I need colorful, fun, special occasion, every day, winter, spring, summer or fall, go- with-anything, comfortable shoes, I'm coming directly to your store and nowhere else. Sorry Nordstrom, I gotta break up with you.
Sizing note...I usually wear an 8, but in yours I wear an 8.5. Had to have the "yeah" shoes in green too. 8.5 worked in those for me as well. Several other pairs are on my wish list. My husband now knows what to get me for any occasion throughout the years.

A New Classic
I am happy to confirm previous comments...these shoes are really comfy..thanks to Fluevog Portland, I ordered my usual 7.5 and found them to be true to size...perfectly so. Just enough toe-room, but not so much as to be "trippy" and the strap fit perfectly without having to get extra holes punched. An absolutely delightful shoe for anyone who stands a lot. The design is ingenious..these really do not feel like heels at all..more comfortable than some of my flats. Please don't change the design of this shoe..I will buy any color of the "Guide" you decide to make. Without fail, every time I wear these to work a customer will ask where I got the shoe....naturally, they get directed to the website or get the phone # of the Portland store.....
