GROUPS:   Sale   Flats   Womens

John reminds us of the importance of sure footing when given to thoughtless and rash behaviour, which when indulged, can lead us to random and fateful encounters. The slip-on Impulse flats are clean and casual with a distinctive pointy-toe and last shape, splashes of colour on the heel, leather soles, stacked leather wedge heels, tunite heel lifts, and dusty Argentinian leathers that will wear into a gorgeous patina with age.

I'm not driven to rash behaviour, except when it comes to you. I'm afraid I'm inclined to throw it all away even for, however brief or long, walks in your presence.

Not my usual style - but it is now!

I usually like heels and a rounded toe and have avoided most of the pointy Vogs - plus sometimes get foot cramps from flats. But, I really liked the look of these and the great design on the back, plus they come in RED so I figured I'd go for it! So glad I did. The shoe is well made and a great red. Initially I was worried about the point since I have a wide toe area, but wore them around the house a bit then on a short shopping trip - no foot cramps and very minor squishing as they break in. All was well and I can see they are shaping to my strange feet already :) Simple, yet different - I can see I'll be going to these as my default shoe very soon. I'm definitely buying the black and might even get the brown too. I take a 6.5 in most Vogs and got that size in these and they are perfect.

Perfect flats

More interesting than the ubiquitous ballerina flats! Got the red pair (my favourite colour) and wore them out of the box (just like my other Fluevog purchases). A touch narrow at the toes at first, but they had shaped themselves to my feet by the end of the second day of wear. Great shoes for work. Thanks again, Fluevog!

Need Breaking In

I bought these shoes in black a few weeks ago. I have narrow feet and I usually wear either a 10.5 or 11 in Fluevogs. I bought the 11 and they are a tiny bit squishy in the toes but my feet are so narrow that I just fit. The leather is quite stiff but obviously of very good quality. After reading a review on this webpage I decided to be careful breaking them in. I have worn them around the house a few times and then at work but not for any big walks yet and so far no problems. I get lots of compliments on them. I love them because I don't want to have to buy boring black shoes but I need something normal-ish for work. These fit the bill perfectly. Buy a half size up at least, watch out if you have wider feet and be prepared to break them in!

sweet!

These beauties arrived in the mail last week with another pair. Of course, I sported them to work first thing this week...comfy and cute. Normally wear an 8 but got an 8-1/2 based on previous reviews. Given that there a bit long in the front, the 8's would've been fine. Of course, my Fluevogs didn't let me down...compliments all around. ,-)

POINTY!

These shoes are are pointier than I had expected (that's what you get when you order online)--a little longer than the toe of a cowboy boot, but not close to clown shoe. HOWEVER, they are GORGEOUS. The leather smells amazing, they're beautifully made, and really comfortable (at least in the breaking in period).I probably wouldn't wear them when I ride my bike, but for walking around the office, looking tough, they are perfect.

Breaking in shoes

I have had trouble breaking-in shoes...I am always tempted to wear my new purchase out the door, but have found this to be a painful experience...blisters everywhere imaginable...makes it difficult to go anywhere. My daughter suggested that I wear my new shoes in the house until my feet get sore, and then take them off. I repeat this process over several days before I go outside with my new shoes. I have found this technique to be effective....no more band-aid covered blisters for me! I thoroughly enjoyed wearing my new Fluevog "Pressence" out and about with no blisters...yeah! Wisdom from the mouth of babes!

Pretty but Painful

I purchased these in black yesterday. The sales associate was lovely and very helpful. She had the same pair and told me that they fit small, so I bought them a half-size up. They are beautiful shoes. Unfortunately, after wearing them for a few blocks, my feet began to hurt. After a few more blocks, my feet began to bleed. I literally had to pile on about six bandaids on both of my heels and hobbled home from work. I am disappointed, as one of the reasons I purchased a pair of Fluevogs is that everyone always says how comfortable they are. I am really hoping I manage to break them in, or else I have purchased some very beautiful expensive doorstops. :-(
