Truth: Pilgrim
[Black]
For his 40th Anniversary, John is re-issuing his favourite styles from each decade, for a limited time, to celebrate with the world 40 years of Unique Soles for Unique Souls. A super pointy-toed, buckled tea-strap loafer with stitched wrinkled leather on the instep, the Pilgrim shoe was one of John's first women's designs which took its initial inspiration from the Victoria era. The updated design includes a rubber sole plate, 1.25" leather wrapped heel, gold lining, and features "white-waxed" leathers that will darken and age gracefully. The Pilgrim is an ode to John's humble beginnings, his values which he still aspires to, and a great testament to the genius we celebrate. "Truth and integrity since 1970"

I fell in love with these at first site. Surprisingly, I went for a lilac ones, I guess because I already have so many pairs of black shoes and I just adored the way that the "wear" shows against the lighter leather.
They have a soft, super-flexible sole that makes them feel like slippers. So they're comfortable as well as beautiful.
I did find that I was a little more comfortable going a half size up from my normal size 6, although I wouldn't say that it was strictly necessary.

Hot Damn
I went into the Toronto store today only planning on buying one pair of Vogs. I ended up leaving with two. I had to try on these shoes & once I did I didn't want to take them off. They are so comfortable. Plus they complement my sense of style. Hell... I even bought them in lilac.(If you knew me you'd be shocked) Once again I experienced excellent customer service. These are my 4 pair of vogs. I can now admit it...... I AM A VOGAHOLIC!!!!!!!! :-D

Slender ankles deserve these shoes
I bought these in black at the 40th Anniversary sale, from the Gastown store.
I put 'em on and POOF! Ordinary Citizen became Amazing Pirate.
I was concerned that the shoes might not be friends with my favorite peddle pushers and short pants, but I was wrong; they look great. NOTES of interest: ~~~If you have slender ankles, these shoes are truly smokin' ~~~ Got a wee tiny blister on my, er, pointer toe (the one beside the big one), but am assuming this is just a wearing in issue ~~~ The white wax that FV applies to these create a fabulous "I've had these since I was pirate" kind of finish, wearing through gradually to show darker areas. ~~~ The wood heels ensure that you knock like you're walkin' the plank when you walk, so don't get 'em if you like to sneak up on folk.

"Adore" doesn't cover it
I spotted these when I was walking past the Granville store and immediately swooned over the lilac colour. I can't wear these often enough. They make me feel like Jack Kerouac's long lost love. I should pack up my suitcase and write beat poetry on the road.

Fab-u-lous!
I bought these Pilgrims in the mauve and have worn them endlessly since I received them! I have severe back problems and very few shoes are comfortable for standing or walking in at all for me. These are cushiony, flexible, fit perfectly and are just incredibly funky and on-trend for colour! I adore them and highly recommend them! @>-

Happy Birthday!
My husband bought these for my birthday and I couldn't love them more. They are comfy to wear even with the pointy toe. The more you wear them, the more the colour takes on a unique wear pattern. I got the lilac ones and as I wear them, a dark charcoal grey shows through. I cannot say enough about the fantastic customer service and of course the amazing shoes. Keep on making them, and I'll keep buying them. @>-

Love, love, love these shoes...
I bought these yesterday in Boston. They're as comfortable as they are beautiful. I can't wait to wear my new purplish shoes to work!
