40th Anniversary Reissues | Truth: Pilgrim [Lilac]
GROUPS:   40th Reissue   Shoe   Specialty   Womens

For his 40th Anniversary, John is re-issuing his favourite styles from each decade, for a limited time, to celebrate with the world 40 years of Unique Soles for Unique Souls. A super pointy-toed, buckled tea-strap loafer with stitched wrinkled leather on the instep, the Pilgrim shoe was one of John's first women's designs which took its initial inspiration from the Victoria era. The updated design includes a rubber sole plate, 1.25" leather wrapped heel, gold lining, and features "white-waxed" leathers that will darken and age gracefully. The Pilgrim is an ode to John's humble beginnings, his values which he still aspires to, and a great testament to the genius we celebrate. "Truth and integrity since 1970"

The shoe with everything!

I own this shoe in the lavender shade. I love the colour and wasn't sure when I bought it, but it goes with everything! Smashing with brown or black as an accent to a monotone outfit. I own many Fluvog shoes and boots, but this is by far one of the most comfortable pair of those or any other brand I own. The retro style and hot fashion colour make it a stand-by that I go to over and over again. I'd had many compliments on them, all across Canada this summer and would love to add the new brown colour to my collection.

I wear these shoes whenever I know it's going to be a long day...mentally, emotionally, or physically. These are the MOST comfortable shoes ever! Buy them!

I wanted these shoes the second they appeared on the website. Once my Fluevog Fund (yes, I have one) had been replenished after my last purchase, I went to the Granville store and there they were, pretty as ever. I was relieved to see that the lilac pair were in fact purple, not pinkish like the picture on the website. The black pair were nice, but the lilac pair are really special. As with most Fluevogs, they fit a half size small. They looked narrow, but when I tried them on they fit perfectly on my B-width feet. The pointy toe is surprisingly comfortable and my toes are still happy after a full day of wear. Love them!

pelgrim problem

I bought some black pelgrim shoes in Montreal in May and i got a problem with the heels 3 hours after wearing them the first time! I brought them back to the shore two times to get it fix, to my suprise a employe gave me some sh... because i was complaining after the second repair, who still wasn't done correctly There's still a problem with the shoes but i left the store, i don't want to be scream at when i'm buying some thinks at a store, and i don't care how much i'm paying. But i would like to mention, it's gonna be my 4th pairs in less than a year. I don't think there's that much good custumers in Montreal for 300.00$ shoes. PLease contact me, i don't no what to do anymore, the heels of the shoes look terrible. Drawn in desperation in Montreal.

Amazing is too small a word.

Fluevogs make me feel like the prettiest girl in the room, especially these incredible Prilgrim Truths.

Love, love, love these shoes! These shoes are unique in every way, from the buckle to the weathered look of the leather, and the wooden heel. The super pointy toes adds to the allure. I love to pair these with wide leg jeans. It doesn't take long to break them in (a few days), and they're surprisingly roomy for such pointy shoes.

Total room-looker

You know the scenario... you walk into a room and everyone looks - not at you but at your shoes. These shoes are a room looker. True to size- I am a 7.5 and the 7.5 fits perfect. Again, hats off to Wesley at the Gastown store for gently nudging the Pilgrims my way... oh and that screaming you hear... my friends are still gasping. Happy 40th indeed!!

I fell in love with these at first site. Surprisingly, I went for a lilac ones, I guess because I already have so many pairs of black shoes and I just adored the way that the "wear" shows against the lighter leather. They have a soft, super-flexible sole that makes them feel like slippers. So they're comfortable as well as beautiful. I did find that I was a little more comfortable going a half size up from my normal size 6, although I wouldn't say that it was strictly necessary.

Hot Damn

I went into the Toronto store today only planning on buying one pair of Vogs. I ended up leaving with two. I had to try on these shoes & once I did I didn't want to take them off. They are so comfortable. Plus they complement my sense of style. Hell... I even bought them in lilac.(If you knew me you'd be shocked) Once again I experienced excellent customer service. These are my 4 pair of vogs. I can now admit it...... I AM A VOGAHOLIC!!!!!!!!

Slender ankles deserve these shoes

I bought these in black at the 40th Anniversary sale, from the Gastown store. I put 'em on and POOF! Ordinary Citizen became Amazing Pirate. I was concerned that the shoes might not be friends with my favorite peddle pushers and short pants, but I was wrong; they look great. NOTES of interest: ~~~If you have slender ankles, these shoes are truly smokin' ~~~ Got a wee tiny blister on my, er, pointer toe (the one beside the big one), but am assuming this is just a wearing in issue ~~~ The white wax that FV applies to these create a fabulous "I've had these since I was pirate" kind of finish, wearing through gradually to show darker areas. ~~~ The wood heels ensure that you knock like you're walkin' the plank when you walk, so don't get 'em if you like to sneak up on folk.
