FALL 2012 - John Fluevog Shoes
Canadian Shoe Designer John Fluevog, inspired by the fusion of human senses and the perception of realities, releases a fantastical Fall/Winter collection that is surreal and dark. Focusing upon the elements of contrasting leathers, natural textures, and organic silhouettes, John simply described his FW collection as cosmic decay. These shoes are for dreamers after all.

760 TURBO Svenska
In the 1990s, John introduced his 240 Wagon series, providing stylish and sturdy footwear for all weather conditions. Twenty years later, John decided that The 240s needed an upgrade and set his mind to redesign an already time-proven shoe family. Reminiscent of the reliable Volvo John bought for his young family in 1985 (still running!), John sought inspiration in the boxy and geometrically designed Volvo 760 with inter-cooled turbo. A class act is hard to follow. (Svenska $289 US/ $299 CDN).

ADRIANA Beezie & Chapot
Featuring swing toe lasts, rubber soles, and 2" leather wrapped heels, the styles in The Adriana Family are solid and rugged, allowing you to weather the elements effortlessly while looking fantastic. Combining the design elements of The Adrian Family with full grain Atlas leathers that crease and patina, the styles in The Adriana Family will age with grace. Drawn as a western boot meets worksite boot, the family is named after John's son Adrian who is known for his warm geniality and generosity. A thankful person is a happy person. (Beezie $229 US/ $235 CDN, Chapot $259 US/ $269 CDN).

ARC Rainbow Boot Clog
Handmade in Peru, The Arc Clogs feature bovine leathers with kept-fur bolted onto a wooden 2.5" platform with 4" heel, and tough rubber non-slip tread. Using hand carved stacked wood for finesse and strength, cut into a retro-70's halfmoon shape, The Arc Rainbow Boot Clog is sure to be a groovy winter classic. Go through and amaze. (Rainbow Boot $399 US/CDN)

ARCH ANGEL Farmer
The Arch Angels feature a long footbed with an oblong toe-shape, coloured latex Angel soles and stacked leather heels, assembled with a partial blake construction. Produced in a Vietnamese factory, which is owned by Japanese shoe-makers, who were trained in England using 19th century traditional methods, The Arch Angels are some of the most classically fabricated (and international) shoes we have made in recent years. Featuring buttery Italian leathers in classic gibson styles, The Arch Angels are the perfect all-purpose shoe for both office and streetwear. (Farmer $279 US/CDN).

BANKER Kaden
The Bankers feature the classic F-Sole that we have been
carrying since its inception in 1997. The F-sole
is time-tested and renowned for its comfort and durability. The 100%
vulcanized rubber sole has excellent traction on ice, snow, slush and
even retains heat - if left in a warm dry area overnight, it will give
you hours of toasty toes in the winter. Although they're wonderful in
mild weather as well, these tough, re-soleable shoes will allow you to
"F" off in bad weather for many storms to come. Invest in your soul. (Kaden $279 US/ $289 CDN).

BEGIN Boogie Woogie & Conga
Get into the groove with your new Fluevog kicks! Designed to imitate the ease and comfort of a ballet flat, The Begin Family kicked it up a notch with slouchy casual styles on a soft rubber sole and stacked tunite heel. Made of soft pliable vegetable-tanned leathers and vegan woven-fabrics, The Begins also feature leather eyelets for that soft, ballerina look. Let the Dance Begin. (Boogie Woogie $229 US/CDN, Conga $269 US/ $279 CDN).

BELLEVUE Dumont
While watching a classic spaghetti western, John was inspired by the feisty, foul-mouthed and fabulous women of the ole Wild West and started to draw up new designs for The Bellevue Family. Don't be fooled by the glossy Bottero leathers with cute detailing on a 2.5" Fellowship-hi heel and tunite Bellevue soles, these are dangerously tough shoes. While we doubt anyone will be wrangling cattle, robbing banks, or working the saloons in these beauties, you know that they are sturdy enough to make it through the gauntlet when called upon. Keep pushing west and beyond
your imagination. (Dumont $279 US/CDN, Midkiff $479 US/ $499 CDN).

BIG PRESENCE Desmond & Davis
For the fans of The Coffee Family and The Teapot Family, John has created the ultimate combo using the best features of both, with an added splash of Fluevog pizazz. With glossy Peruvian bovine leathers with kept-fur built on foot molding leather soles, The Big Presence reinvents the classic pump. John gave the super-pointed Presence last a little lift with a diamond shaped 3" canvas wrapped heel with swooping curves, giving the simple pump an unusually distinctive profile. If you put the Desmond pumps sole-to-sole, and heel-to-heel, John leaves you with a lasting impression straight from his heart. Present yourself well. (Desmond $265 US/CDN, Davis $249 US/ $259 CDN).

DAILY MIRACLES Discovery & Mystery
Believing is the hardest obstacle to overcome, especially when you see it with your own eyes. Designed with delicate swooping curves upon a hand carved wooden last, one has to wonder if John was experiencing Divine Intervention while drawing these lovely shoes. Using a Peruvian factory that has a reputation for outstanding quality and craftsmanship, the Miracles feature 3" leather wrapped heels, delicious soft leathers, and foot molding leather soles that will take your feet down your fateful path. Miracles are the surprises of the soul. (Discovery $425 US/CDN, Mystery $299 US/CDN).

ENCOURAGE Kathryn & Brigid
"It takes two to make a thing go right." Just like friendship, John designed The Encourage Family to stand the test of time, being both reliable and full of love and respect. The Encourage designs are inspired from men's traditional hunting boots, featuring equestrian details (but without the hounds, trumpets, and stuffy after parties). Featuring a natural toe shape with rubber soles with workboot-like traction, perforated aged Atlas leathers, and 1.25" stacked leather heels, The Encourage styles are perfect for hanging out with your best friend. When faith endures, our names are written in the book of life. (Kathryn $365 US/ $385 CDN, Brigid $335 US/ $345 CDN).

FEATURES Hardy & Keaton
Featuring soft Italian leathers with denim detailing, a rounded toe with a good toe spring, and edgy designs built on rubber injected soles, The Features prove to be an entirely unique look. Being a fashion cross between rock'n'roll and ultra-chic, The Features are named after silver screen legends (preferably with sweet 'staches) that had a profound effect on men's fashion. Be the good guy in your movie. (Hardy $329 US/ $355 CDN, Keaton $379 US/ $399 CDN).

F-SHOES Bing
The F-Shoes are a family we have been carrying since their inception in 1997, as they continue to build a reputation for comfort and durability. The 100% vulcanized rubber sole has excellent traction on ice, snow, slush and even retains heat - if left in a warm dry area overnight, it will give you hours of toasty toes in the winter. Although they're wonderful in mild weather as well, these tough, re-soleable shoes will allow you to "F" off in bad weather for many storms to come. (Bing $325 US/ $339 CDN).

FORTITUDE Sasha & Drew
Inspired by Wabi Sabi, a Japanese concept centered around the notion that nothing is permanent, and beauty is in the imperfections of aging, John brings you an intrepid family from deep within his creative mind. Designed as basic styles on a long footbed with a rounded toe-shape, The Fortitude is all about the subtleties. Made in Vietnam with partial blake construction, leather soles, stacked leather heels, and thick, pebbled German leathers that will patina and soften with age, The Fortitude styles will only keep getting better with time and wear. Honesty is strength. (Sasha $299 US/CDN, Drew $269 US/CDN).

FUTURE Tyler Thomas
The Futures are an updated version of The Future Angels, but based on a new longer last with a rounded toe. Featuring a rubber-injection molded sole, The Futures are flexible and lightweight providing for quick movement and lightning wit. With slightly glossy and pebbled leathers,
overstitch detail, and a padded toppling for ultra comfort, The Futures are comfortable like a sneaker, but professional enough to be cheeky in an office. Your sole will direct your future. (Tyler Thomas $209 US/ $219 CDN).

GATEWAY Jerusalem
Produced in a Vietnamese factory, which is owned by Japanese shoe-makers, who were trained in England using 19th century traditional methods, The Gateways are some of the most classically fabricated (and international) shoes we have made in recent years. Featuring glossy Italian leathers that glow of pure luxury, The Gateway will give you your Fluevog fix during those conservative occasions when you still need to be the best dressed person in the room. Just walk on through. (Jerusalem $319 US/ $329 CDN).

GUARDIAN ANGEL Ronald & Andrew
For more than 20 years, John's revolutionary and 100% biodegradable Angel Sole has been walking the Earth saving customers from Evil. John updates the classic Men's designs with a lighter, slimmer Angel sole, without losing any of the awesome benefits. Made in Vietnam with partial blake construction, buttery Bottero leathers, stacked leather heels with Angel heel lifts, The Guardian Angels are tough, but classy. Watch out Satan! (Ronald $325 US/ $345 CDN, Andrew $269 US/ $285 CDN).

MEMORIES HI Memento
Recently, John was cleaning out the design closet and found a design from long ago - a single heel from seasons past Memories. Finding this tall, slender heel brought back a flood of lovely memories from when John originally designed the heel. Feeling inspired, and realizing how far he has come since first designing The Memories, John decided to revisit his drawing, creating a taller 5" leather wrapped heel on a comfy 1" platform. Featuring an almond toe shape, soft veggie-tanned leathers in delicate pleating, and Attention rubber soles, The Memories Hi are both glamorous and understated. My memories of Love are all of you. (Memento $355 US/CDN).

HOPEFUL Kanawa & Luxon
Playing mad Scientist, John creates The Hopeful: a hybrid family using the last and fit of The Operetta Family, the soles of The Hope Family, the leathers of The Prepare Family, and the leather wrapped heels of The Thanks Family. Featuring a soft rubber sole, soft, pebbled Portuguese leathers, and a natural footshape, The Hopefuls might even be better than The Beatles.
F is for all things Hope. (Kanawa $369 US/ $389 CDN, Luxon $299 US/CDN).

i BELIEVE You're OK & I'm OK
Handmade in Mexico, The I Believe Family features tough Mexican leathers perfect for the street or country. With stained Goodyear welted leather soles, stacked leather heels with rubber lifts, and a JF custom shark-nosed last with a structured toe, the unisexy I Believes hold a unique and suave look. I Believe. (You're OK $329 US/CDN, I'm OK $245 US/CDN).

IDOLS Kashmir, Roy, & Bob
All rockstars have one thing in common... great shoes. From the deepest depths of backstage, John brings out the ultimate show-stopper. Headlining acts feature a slanted 1.5" Cuban heel of stacked leather, rubber plates stitched on leather soles, and intricate buckle details. Your Vogs are going to steal the spotlight. Hey Idol, Get Real! (Kashmir $329 US/CDN, Roy $359 US/CDN, Bob $349 US/CDN).

LA Melrose
In 1999, John Fluevog designed the legendary "Grand National" cloven hooved boot. Ten years later to commemorate this famous heel, John has created the inverse-twin by using the negative space of the GN heel to actualize this new radical wedge heel. With dark luscious leathers, gold lining and details, and with just a hint of Bauhaus, The LA Family features a 6" heel molded in an Italian factory that specializes in extreme high heels. This heel is not for the faint of heart. Rise Above Earthly Restraints. (Melrose $745 US/ $789 CDN).

LIVING Malcolm
Feeling the need for a hip and casual unisex style, John created The Living Family. Goodyear welted using soft, robust Mexican leathers on a rounded toeshape, leather soles with injected rubber inserts, oversized zippers, and raw canvas piping, Tthe Living Family has a worn and pre-aged effect while creating the perfect everyday style. Living to change the world. (Malcolm $299 US/CDN).

MINI Bunny
When The Mini Heel was first introduced in 2001, John decided all styles with this heel would be named after lover's nicknames. Over the years, the style names have been getting extremely personal! The Minis feature contrast piping, soft analine leathers, a rubber F-Sole, and the iconic 3" hourglass heel for the ultimate traction, durability and comfort. Go on, fall in love. We dare you! (Bunny $295 US/CDN).

MIRACLES PLATFORM Janlian &Sharanpal
Believing is the hardest obstacle to overcome, especially when you see
it with your own eyes. Designed with delicate swooping curves upon a
hand carved wooden last, these lovely shoes may have been the result of Divine Intervention. Using a Peruvian
factory that has a reputation for outstanding quality and craftsmanship,
The Miracles feature 3" leather wrapped heels, delicious leathers, and foot molding leather soles that will take your feet
down your fateful path. Miracles are the surprises of the soul. (Janlian $379 US/CDN, Sharanpal $325 US/CDN).

ON COURSE Leeward & Astern
Named after navigational cues to guide your path for smooth sailing, The
On Course are an extremely mathematical and geometric masterpiece from
the fathoms of John's mind. Using a magnetic compass, chronometer, and a
protractor, John drew up the architectural and mod On Course Family with
square toe boxes, folded vamp panels, tapered platforms, and distinctive
triangular 4" leather-wrapped heels. Featuring durable tunite soles with
toothed rubber grips, and buttery soft leathers, The On Course will be your beacon for pleasant voyages
ahead. The On Course Family reminds us to hold fast to your direction
and never be swayed by frivolity, doubt, or temporal groovyness. Stay the course. (Leeward $529 US/ $559 CDN, Astern $389 US/ $399 CDN)

PASSAGE Cairo
Inspired by the ultimate Hamburg Chelsea boot, as seen on the early Beatles or Dylan when he went electric, John wanted to recreate the timeless rock'n'roll boot. Made in Vietnam using glossy Italian leathers, a partial blake construction on the the unisex Gateway last with an almond toeshape, leather sole, and a 2" stacked leather Cuban heel, one could almost hear the warm, fuzzy buzz of the Vog AC30. Ask and you shall receive. (Cairo $299 US/ $319 CDN).

PREPARE Steady & Map
The original inspiration behind The Prepares happened when John found
the trusty, old Swiss Army knife he had as a young scout. After the initial wear test failed with clinking
metal bits and knifes flopping around with each step, John went back to
the drawing board and struck genius in the new swoopy design without the
additional arsenal of cutlery. Featuring soft leathers with pebbled surfaces, all built on a hidden platform of recycled cork, tunite soles
with rubber grips, and custom Fluevog buckles, The Prepares provide you
with a firm foundation for the challenges ahead. Prepare for the Future, choose well today. (Steady $279 US/CDN, Map $399 US/CDN).

PRESENCE Impel & Notion
Clean and mod, with a distinctive pointy-toe and last shape, leather soles, and gorgeous Argentinian leathers, The Presence are the perfect flats for cruising the beach on your Vespa (or living your real everyday life). I'm not driven to rash behaviour, except when it comes to you. I'm afraid I'm inclined to throw it all away even for, however brief or long, walks in your presence. (Impel $275 US/CDN, Notion $275 US/CDN).

QUEEN TRANSCENDENT Elizabeth
Designed by Jody Elizabeth for John's world-famous Open Source Footwear Program, The Queen Transceneant features a unique heel inspired by 'ball & claw" furniture legs. Using a Bellevue last, but with a higher heel and platform, The Queen Transcendent demands sophistication and class. Smooth and glossy Polido leathers with a rub-off finish give The Queen Transcendent Family an antiqued and timeless look.
(Elizabeth $299 US/CDN).

RADIO BLT, KIPO & ARD
As a young and gawky teenager, Johnny Fluevog would spend hours working on his old car while the chatter of his portable AM radio kept him company. Many years later, John broadcasts style and comfort via The Radio Family. Featuring an upturned toe, a wider footbed, and a tunite heel & sole, The Radio Family is the soundtrack to your life. Tune in, Turn on, and Vog out! (BLT $259 US/ $275 CDN, KIPO $329 US/CDN, ARD $349 US/ $359 CDN).

RESTRAINT Donald
Harking back to the grungy days of creepers and flannels, John re-imagines the classic 90s gibson with thick "superbuck" suedes, and an 1" thick EVA (dense durable foam) platform. Featuring a comfortable almond toeshape, leather rand, and rubber sole, The Restraints are the perfect excuse to wear your double-plaids and torn jeans with thermal-undie patches. (Donald $279 US/CDN).

STOP IT Stad & Alto
For the fans of The Mini Family and The Thanks Family, John has created the ultimate combo using the best features of the two, with an added splash of Fluevog pizazz. Styles in The Stop It Family use oily suedes or dry Atlas leathers, a wide squared toed last reminiscent of The Mini toe shape, a 100% rubber Mini sole, and a healthy 3" rectangular heel. You too will exclaim "Stop it, your love is killing me. Don't stop." (Stad $359 US/ $379 CDN, Alto $439 US/ $459 CDN).

Using tough, glossy patent leathers, decorative zippers and buckles, The Buxton are bound to be cherished and collected by rockstars everywhere. The Edwardian Hamburger includes a 3.5" Cuban Heel that brings the Fluevog flair over-the-top. Stay Sharp! (Buxton $319 US/ $329 CDN, Edwardian Hamburger $379 US/CDN).

THANKS Dalu
Using soft luxurious suedes, The Thanks! Family is a sharper, edgier interpretation of The Wearever Family. Although they're made with the same comfortable and walkable rubber Wearever sole, The Thanks! Family feature a thicker, angular 2" heel that give it its innovative look. Wearever… you go give thanks. (Dalu $325 US/ $335 CDN).

TRUTH Genevieve
By using the drawings of one of his favourite styles from the 1980s, John brings you a brand new design based off the super pointy-toed, buckled Pilgrim shoe. While his inspiration initially came from the Victorian era, John now looks to the modern scenester, adding subtle buckled straps with vintage-Fluevog hardware.
Featuring rubber sole plates, 1.25" leather wrapped heels, and soft leathers that will darken and age gracefully, The Truth styles are pure Rock'n'Roll.

a Peruvian factory that has a reputation for outstanding quality and
craftsmanship, The Wonders feature light Argentinian leathers with lots
of body and depth, ornate stitching, and will amaze your bewildered feet
as you walk among the clouds. You are a natural Wonder. (K2 $279 US/CDN)

WRITES Paglia

Using delicious Portuguese leathers built on a 1" platform, stacked leather wedge, with a 4 " leather wrapped circular heel and tunite cap, The Writes inspire you to speak your mind unflinchingly.
